This reminds me of a teacher I had in high school. Head of Drama, we got along well. Anyway, one day I go in to see him about something, he's staring at his computer screen, utterly fascinated. He motions me over, and says, "Look at this. It's a field in England."
Somebody put up a webcam feed. Of their empty field. It refreshes every 10-15 seconds. My teacher is sitting their, watching for the smallest change. I just backed away reallll slow.
One of the great ironies of this copyright law is that Disney, one of the main proponents of extensions, would have been unable to rip off the all those fairy tales had todays copyright laws existed a 100 years ago.
Not to side with Disney, but I doubt anyone would hold the copyright for fairy tales 3 and 4 hundred years old.

What they hate is how most corporations put money ahead of little things like, oh, the greater good of society
You think individuals don't? You think the people running corporations are fundamentally different than the guy working at mcdonalds? I don't. I think most people are selfish, at their core, and will screw over other people if it means they'll do better.
Hubble's view is blocked by the earth, moon, and sun at times too. And moving hubble is harder than moving a ground based telescope. What would be freaking awesome would be building a telescope on the dark side of the moon, if only for the crappy movies it would spin off.
And what would you like as an alternative? To be taxed in other ways, or just have no government?
Simply stating something should be abolished is useless without explaining what you think should happen in it's place. Until you do that, your argument is simply worthless.
What makes these anti-cheat programs spyware is that they collect data, send it to another party, and perhaps most importantly, do so without first telling you that it is going to.
Did you miss the part where Blizzard tells you this flat out in all caps, or are you just ignoring it for no reason?
Who gives a shit if he is? It's still a quarter of a billion more bucks to fight a disese that kills kids. Let the man have the most selfish reasons in the world. It doesn't bother me in the least.
There's more to this than just killing all the mosquitos in the world. Sure, that'd get rid of malaria, but it'd also screw up the whole ecosystem. Lots of things eat mosquitos, other things eat those things, and so on. It'd completely screw up the predator/prey balance in the area. Personally, I think Africa doesn't need to get any more screwed up.
Should malaria be erradicated? Hell yes. Should it be done by destroying the ecosystem, possibly causing catastrophe? Hell no. What if it somehow led to an overabundence of crop-destroying critters? Even less food for Africa? I don't know if that's a good risk to take.

You're making the assumption that bringing a new HIV drug to market costs close to the same as putting out a new Linux distro. That assumption is off by several orders of magnitude. Is there money to be made? Definately. Is there billions of dollars to be made? I doubt it. And the renaissance also happened without cheap printing, televisions, cd playeres, cd burners, and pirated software and movies being sold on streetcorners. Times change.
But the question to be asked is: if you consider software a capital good, which therefore requires maintenance, what if it's not ordinary maintinence? What if it's a genuine fault? Should you be charged for a security fix if it was a fault in the original? If you buy a car and the locks on the door could be opened with a toothpick because the engineer screwed up, should you pay for it, or should the manufacturer eat the cost?

there is nothing wrong at all with sharing music with other people. They not only have a right to copy...
So, by extension, all IP should be freely copied. Patents and copyright shouldn't exist at all. To hell with medical innovation. To hell with technological improvements. Let's just keep the level of technology we have now. After all, who's going to want to research something they can't get any kind of monopoly on? But that's ok, since "there is nothing morally wrong at all" with ignoring copyright/patents/etc.
The thing you have to remember is slippery slopes work both ways. Is sharing a song with your friend really that wrong? Nah, not in the big scheme of things. Is screwing with the system enough that medical innovation (not to mention the publishing of books, movies, tv, etc) practically ends, because the company that can copy the idea and make it the cheapest wins? Hell yes.
50% (more, actually, because there are many at the center of the curve) of Americans have an IQ of 100 or under
The rest of your post makes some sense, but I can't stand by and let you say this. You know why 50% (ish) of Americans score under 100 on an IQ test? BECAUSE OF WHAT A SCORE OF 100 MEANS ON THE BLOODY TEST!!!!!
IQ scores are given so that the average score is 100. It's an utterly arbitrary number. Wikipedia says it nicely. "IQ scores are expressed as a number normalized so that the average IQ in an age group is 100."
