    I just built a Dell Precision 690 for the $3,592 with a 19' flatpanel I can't exclude with the same specs. Not sure what you did.

    That's inane, goes knows how many exploits that ARE found inside of microsoft before they are outside, and patched without anyone ever knowing about it. 10x, 100x, 1000x? The idea that a few get past is unescapable.

    For those who don't want to read, that's 10 vulnerabilities, 1 privledge escalation, 6 remote executions including buffer overflows, and one bluetooth attack.

    Probably should have covered this on Slashdot.. patched or not, which I don't know, as it doesn't affect ones about Microsoft.

    I'm not trolling, because I really want to know. How can we benefit from being able to weigh things that small? I always assumed that stoichiometry was there to get around having to weigh very very small things.

    Not to defend MS, but that's trolling. "Security" wasn't a high priority in the beginning because it didn't exist as a highly important factor until like 1999. XP is based on 2000 which is based on NT 4.0 which is based on NT 3.51. There's no way they could have forseen security being as important to the computer world as it is now. Granted, it took them a bit to realize it, but they can't change the entire NT codebase without releasing a new OS, which they're doing. SP2 is about all they can do without making fundamental changes.

    Why am I defending MS? I don't like them..
