    And you're probably one of those people that are always claiming that "Corporations have only one responsibility - to maximize profit." You can't say that a company only needs to make money, and then turn around and bash a company for their 'abusive' labor practices.

    It doesn't matter if it's still usable. What matters here is that doing something as simple as listening to music has been shown to decrease the network performance of a computer. Completely unacceptable.

    Ugh... a local ISP (westpa.net) has their broadband service here... Their limit is 4GB a MONTH. The charge for exceeding that is 10 dollars/GB or partial GB over the limit. Jesus, in a week of running azureus, I racked up nearly 100 GB of transfers!

    Ok, to clarify things - the only thing they HAVE to give people is any modifications to programs licensed under the GPL. If they modified the Linux kernel running on this (which they most likely did) then, yes, they need to release that. If they wrote a custom app for this purpose, that does not need to be released.

    there's a big difference here - when you download an album, you aren't passing their work off as your own. When you sample, and don't give proper credit, you make money from work you didn't do.

    Google doesn't engage in the illegal activities that MS does, such as discounts for only offering windows on machines. Also, google doesn't bundle their services or products with any operating system.
