Because it's fucking impossible to find decent music around here, where we don't have any specialty music shops. All it is is pop shit. I'm sick of it.

Fuck this. This is just going to make pop music even MORE dreadful to those of us who actually appreciate the artistic quality of music. Oh, look, some blond whore can screech into the mic and it'll make the whole damn song for her! Yay! Yes, let's take one of the most important part of music creation and base IT off of a formula now, too.

If you don't authorize any use other than your own, take the damned five minutes to fix it. Good god, it's a simple free-rider problem. You have people benefitting from something they don't pay for. Unlike most OTHER free-rider problems (such as schools, roads, etc) this is NOT plagued by a total inability to exclude those who don't pay - it takes all of five minutes to set this up. If you can't figure it out yourself, tell the geeky teenager down the street that you'll give him free wireless access if he'll set up the security for you. I'm not saying that the blame is entirely on the owner, but if you have a house made of glass, the kind that could easily be tinted properly, you have no room to complain about someone watching you and your significant other have sex.

Alternatively, if someone goes streaking down the street, and I take a picture, is that a crime?

Its great how those that support all the filth in the world claim that its natural and their right, while ignoring other peoples right not to have to see it. A vocal minority thus wins over the majority and slowly the standards of morality fall.

    A few problems:
    1) Who decides 'morality'? Isn't morality completely subjective?
    2) I LOVE your attack on people who don't agree with you! You say that we ignore your right to not have to see it? Ha. You're funny. Seriously. It's more along the lines of you ignoring an adult's right to decide things themselves.

Fortunately, there are people in the world who have realized that we shouldn't need brute force anymore - we evolved past that loooong ago. The only reason such a thing still happens in this world is because people let it happen. The people who don't stand up for themselves don't want to, for a variety of reasons, start a fistfight. They'd rather the people in charge, whose JOBS are to keep ORDER, do something about it. It's perfectly reasonable to expect authorities to do their damned jobs.

"Your DayCare comment makes no sense... I doubt this story is about the guy not selling to kids in daycare. As for non-daycare school, I had some tough times because I was bored (thus didnt do my work, and had to struggle at the last minute to stay on the honor roll)... but I found that with the right motivation, that changed... got into AP classes, got more mentally challenged (pun possibly intended), and did far better in those classes than in the standard level classes."

PLEASE tell me that was sarcasm. When he was talking about daycare, he WAS talking about everything from 3 years to high school graduation. I just graduated from high school, and it would seem that school only exists now to serve two purposes: 1) to indoctrinate kids with the belief that authority is beyond reproach and 2) to give kids a place to go for 7-8 hours a day.

Honestly, I was constantly harassed by the tougher kids. Whenever a teacher would see it and report it, the principal would always say "Oh, well, we can't fix him, so we won't even bother." I hated school. I hated the fact that the kid who copied his homework from someone else 2 minutes before class and then failed the test got the same grade as me, just because he did the homework. high school isn't about learning to think; now it's about rote memorization and busywork.
