    Its easier to see it as an appliance, since it's benn designed for one specific task, just like a microwave or a washing machine.

    Once all songs are sold in apple lossless (well FLAC would be better), and I can easily burn to CDs without too many restrictions, I'm sold. Until then, I will just have to pop out to CD world every now and again.

    I can see it now ....... publishing companines suing illegal book sharers. eBooks on a PC arent very convenient, but once this thechnology is widely available, the paper companies' business model will be under threat, unless they offer legal book downloads.

    Thank you very much, i've been looking for something like this for a while. I hate it when certain sites prevent me from using the middle-click scroll function, or try and stop me from opening pages in a new tab.

    Its more interesting to watch the world go by, and it relaxes me to watch the traffic moving past, rather than being trapped in my box apartment with only the TV in the background. Plus you get to mentally undress the hot chicks that come in! (This is slashdot, right, closest anyones getting)

    Adding to that, whats wrong with just having all of the available browsers installed and letting the users choose from there.

    How about an internet connection wizard-esque app that gets info about all of the available browsers, and presents it to the users, kinda like how older versions of windows would dial up to a microsoft server and get information on isps in your local area.

    Although there's still room for bias towards IE.

    Check back on the iPodlinux project every few weeks, they are working on ogg playback. Once the 4th gen version is out of alpha, ogg can be implemented more easily, due to the more powerful processor.
