its an april fool. Its a good one though, it had me, and it certainly seemed realistic. Would have been good for the slashdot front page yesterday. Also note that "Shigatsu-Baka" translates literally to "April fool" from japanese.
How about scanning the quoted text (lines with ">" in them) from the reply email to see if it exactly matches any text from emails that was sent to that address (from the user's "sent items" folder).
There may be privacy issues, but a simple dumb matching filter might do the trick.
I'd imagine that there'd be wireless dongles available when W-USB is out. The dongle would plug into the usb port of a device, and would instantly make it compatible with the wusb chipset inside your pc. Should be out by the end of the year, as another poster stated.
Games are trying to emulate filmed motion, hence the motion blur. It would be as if you were watching a film where things were moving too fast to be captured correctly, and a blur results. Motion blur is also good for smoothing low fps motion to seem more fluid.
Yeah, all they have to do is make encryption illegal unless you have the proper authority to do so. After all if you're using encryption you must have something to hide..
He put his link there. He obviously felt that he could handle a little slashdotting. Or he wanted the pagehits to generate ad revenue. (without giving./ a cut)
I want stuff like the awesome homebrew software that was available for Xbox1. Like the XBMC, for example.
I really really want the "L" shaped Tetris block. Pleeeease Nintendo, please add the L block!
Sure, if you have the source code.
If you think that sounds painful, wait till he gets out his wizard hat!
Out of curiosity, what monitor are you talking about?

Bring back the pink. It's actually easier on the eyes than this horrible scheme.
Hell no. They screwed up, and the last thing I want them to think is that this sort of thing is acceptable.
yes, its just windows xp with the mce app running on top of it.
Sorry, a simple misunderstanding on my part.

He also said they can be faked.

I personally can't wait for wusb. I can keep my ipod in my pocket while itunes syncs my libary.
what would be worse is mom marching right in thinking i'm just mousing.
No, i use xnview, becuase Irfanview scrolls images very very slowly, and it hurts.
and he must be wondering why he has to reinstall windows and quake everytime he wants to play.
It's a stupid copy and pasted comment from like 5 years ago, which only vaugely has something to do with the article.

1600x1200 is 4:3, but 1280x1024 is 5:4. Seems like an odd choice for an aspect ratio.
thats what the +1 funny mod was invented for.

oh, okay.
