Did you see Linux/FOSS/etc mentioned anywhere in the post because I sure didn't. So please keep your jokes to yourself if they are:
a) offtopic
b) done to death
c) boring to begin with
Your's seem be every one of these although one would have sufficed.
It's defendable by stating that it's a (lame) attempt of meta-humour. If that's the case I appologise for my rant.
"the majority of males 18-35 will quickly learn to react to all kinds of high-speed emergencies."
After which the amount of high speed emergencies will increase drastically. Problem is: in real life the saves are "quite" limited.
Modifying/etc/* modifies settings for the whole system affecting *every* user. If the trojan puts some line in some of your ~/.rc files then the only one screwed is you and only at login. The/etc is writable root-only for a reason.
The problem is that if we allow you to perform your act of justice we must also let everyone perform *their* vision of justice and soon you'll have a mob. Therefore we have only a small force who are *trained* to execute justice. Because the force is small they can't possibly take care of everything but it's preferrable to everyone running around whacking people who violated their sense of 'justice'.
Remember that the you can bring down the Windows down instantly by flicking the powerswitch behing the computer (ivo-boot). A fast computer (overall speed) and a quality cd-drive should at least get the Linux KERNEL started with time to spare. Booting to the login screen probably takes a while longer but as the die hard purist say thats not really Linux.
Don't they still own the gmail.com domain? Why can't they just change the name of the service and still use the old domain?

Actually a Garret shouldn't need to kill. Amateurs kill, nobody knows about the skilled.
Or better yet, start a slahsdot.eu

We're your antennae inside the house or outside? If they were outside then there were nothing to stop radio waves from reaching them, were there.
what about when you have several drives or a tiny case?
This might be due to the fact that you can drive a car to the shop. With computers you (usually) have to carry it yourself.
