His basic argument hinges on the FACT that it is his choice to continue to use GPL v2. Saying otherwise that he "should" use GPL3 in the name of "freedom" is hypocritical. Agreed.

I personally choose GPLv3 for my future code but I am "free" to "chose" what I believe to be the best license, and so is He.

Worst I can say about Linus remarks are. Maybe words like "Hypocritical Morons" are unhelpful. But again it is clearly an opinion (He did state it as a fact).

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Resident_Evil_4#Wii_e dition

Resident Evil 4 Wii edition includes Wii Remote compatibility for numerous gameplay features such as aiming and shooting, reloading and a "search knife" function that aims the knife at the nearest enemy. Players can switch between the Wii Remote, Gamecube Controller and the Classic Controller at any time, depending on their preferred style of play. The laser sight on guns is replaced with a circle reticule that flashes red (enemy) and green (no target) when a gun is drawn. The reticule is always presented on the screen, remaining a faint grey color that keeps track of the player's area of aim. This allows the player to aim and draw the gun, retaining the original aim (except while using a scoped weapon, such as the rifle or rocket launcher).......The Wii edition also includes the extra content from the PlayStation 2 and PC versions. The Amateur and Easy difficulty included in the Japanese Gamecube version of the game are present. It was released in North America on June 19, 2007, and in Europe on June 29, 2007. This version also includes a trailer for Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles.[22] In addition, the Wii edition supports 480p and 16x9 widescreen, as opposed to the 480p and 4:3 letterbox format of the GCN version. The game also maintains a consistent 30FPS, as opposed to past versions which had occurrences of slowdown in hectic moments.

Tivo, Router, Spa, Cellphone, PDA, NAS, and that number is constantly growing. True most consumers don't know they use linux every day, from the webservers they visit to the phone they use, and that is a good thing. I don't care if there ever comes a day when "the Year of the Linux Desktop" happens because that year came for me 5 yrs ago.

My daughter has never known a Windows desktop, and she is perfectly happy.
