For a moment I thought the reason I was continued using Firefox was because I wanted to avoid IE. I downloaded Chrome soon realized Firefox has become more than an open alternative to IE. The ability to have addons and the range of addons has made it important tool for my productivity.
The current Indian government is the most ineffective and clueless one. The emails are sent after the bombs have gone off, after the victims are dead or injured. The damage is done. The terrorist will find another way of sending their message. Shutting down Open Wi-fi will achieve nothing!
where I got to ride around in Bangalore in traffic (in a Tata car no less),... what the hell are these people thinking?
You are mixing two different issues. Bangalore is not a typical market for this car. And yes, the traffic in Bangalore is a mess as you experienced. A lot of construction you might have encountered is for a mass raid transportation expected to be operation from 2011. See http://www.bmrc.co.in/.
Roadway congestion is a problem in bigger urban areas. The major market for this kind of car is smaller cities, town and out-skirts of big urban centers.

India's Airtel provides a service called "Song Catcher". Just call a service number, keep you phone next a speaker playing any song you like and that song will become your ring tone.
Another service provider called Hutch (recently taken over by Vodafone) provides a service where you can choose the background music when talking to someone. Launched on Valentine's Day, it was showcased to play soft music while talking to your sweetheart on phone.
When India started sending satellites in space, many people said we have so many naked-starving people, why spend money in R&D and invest in future. Today, they are the one who besides from direct outcome, are benefiting from the indirect outcome of technological advancement. Everyone agrees that sending Man/Woman to Moon is a big technological challenge. But the advancement it will bring to India will be of great indirect outcome. I am an Indian and I support all investment into better future. Let us not make a make-shift country...
In the meantime, I discovered that opening about:config and then search for browser.tabs.closeButtons. If we set it to 3, it reverts to 1.x style table closing.
There was another cool feature: There was always a small gap between the last tab and the [x] close icon. If I double clicked on it, another tab opened. This gap remained even if we have a lot of tabs open. Now, somehow that has been fixed. Have to type ctrl+t if have many tabs open, to open another tab.
The new tab design is really a step backwards. There used to be a close [X] icon in extreme left that has now been replaced by a drop down icon. Earlier, if I had 15 tabs open, all I had to do was keep my mouse pointed at one place and keep clicking away. Now I have to seek the close icon for each tab. It is irritating.
That is a problem with NetGear and how they manage support! Thay have not trained their employee properly or hired people with relevant experience. What has this got to do with India and talent in India?

I do not care which chapter follows which one. I am not smart? Show the dependency of IQ tests on cultural contexts. Not a good questionnaire!

TATA is like Apple in that way. They reveal very little about their product before the official release.
