  1. Windows 3.1 and MsDos 6 on Startup Offers Instant-Boot Windows Alternative · · Score: 0

I know, I could repackage Windows 3.1 and MsDos 6. It runs all of those old old programs, you can start up in ms dos almost instantly, and you get quicker windows boot time!

"Oh don't worry, they'll come up with a way to justify the cost. " Well isn't it obvious? They sell every song at a loss, just like M$ and Sony with the game consoles. If it were Nintendo, the songs could be downloaded for 25 cents.

  5. Re:Cripple the industry? on FCC Moves To Regulate Cable TV Competition · · Score: 0

"Is that a euphemism for not raping their customers?"

No, it is a euphemism for not raping more than 30% of the market. Which sucks, because we only have two providers of cable. That means that 40% of the possible market has to go without. Or does it mean 30% of the remaining... or 30% of that.... I think that means that if you don't have 4 providers, than no one can have cable. I hate it when the gov'ment gets involved.

What does that matter? If you have vested interest, then it obviously works, otherwise you wouldn't be interested in it.

  15. Re:Is it worth it? on Indiana Allows BP To Pollute Lake Michigan · · Score: 0

I live in Indiana. Lately, the government has been doing anything it can to get more money. This year, they sold our tollway to Spain, talked about selling our lottery to someone else, raised cigarrette taxes by 50 cents, and now this. In my area, they raised property taxes by 58%. Think something might be up? Yeah, most likely.

They could probably make the same design with half the weight and all the circuitry in a board the size of a quarter. Kinda reminds me of what apple did back in the day.

  18. Solution... Don't play full song on Internet Radio Will Go Silent on June 26th · · Score: 1

We have learned from the RIAA, that if you share the first part of a song on a peer to peer network, with garbage on the end, it is legal. Therefore if we play most of a song, and make a low pitch noise at the end. Effectively cutting off the last half second of a song, we would not be making a full performance per person and the record industry gets jack squat.

  22. Home School on Jack Thompson Sues Microsoft · · Score: 1

I am not sure if Jack Thompson was home-schooled or not. However, he does exhibit some tell-tale signs of it. He seems to be somewhat oblivious to how the real world works, and thinks that what he was taught as a kid is the whole truth. Pardon me if I offend anyone that was home-schooled, as Jack does not show any of the positive aspects of home-schooling such as increased book smarts... Now that I think of it, maybe he is just ridiculously stupid in all areas and mentally removed from society. Next step... physically removed.
