I will also be holding off to purchase it, but only due to pricing.
I don't play enough games to justify buying a console, I haven't bought a PS2 or an Xbox. But with the wife and I getting a new house and my computer now being more than 3 feet from my main tv I'm going to pick it up for the media extender capabilities. Maybe I'll find a couple of games to pick up as I did with the wife's gamecube. But I'll play them for a couple of hours and then through them back on the shelf for a couple of months before picking them back up.
thats my question, are the penalties going to be more severe if you download an album than if you were to actually go into the store and steal a physical copy of the album?
The financial penalties already are, as they can sue you for downloading a copy, but I'm relatively sure they haven't sued anyone for stealing a cd.
with all these companies now deciding they want to scan books (Google, Amazon) why not partner up on this project, it would greatly reduce the overall costs as each company would scan the same books as the other.
At least partner up for the process of scanning even if they have different plans as to what to do with the scans
assuming the move for everything to have wireless networking somehow entrenched in it just post a link to their config page on slashdot.... then the robots breakdown under the load
I'm wondering if the resoution of the videos/shows they will be selling will be sufficient enough to watch not only on the V-Ipod but also on your computer, or on a TV (not only with the TV out)?
What about burning to DVD?

my biggest question is, and always has been:
Can Slashdot be slashdotted?

These people also tend to have the DemonBreath from Hell TM.

You can't expect them to keep adding to the cost of new consoles by essentially encompassing parts of the old one for emulation.
besides if you have a whole wack of xbox games you most likely have an xbox, play them on that.
true enough, from home I choose to use firefox (except for those IE only sites), at work however I use IE, so I'm probably in those sample sets twice.

creativity with the site design may also force the handset makers to build in more robust browsers in their devices
