Given how the chinese treat IP; isn't this a favor?

Basically they'd build the reactor in china, and within 2 weeks the plans and technical details would be 'appropriated' by the Chinese government.

Basically all that R&D wasted. Just because they aren't shooting at us (yet) doesn't make them an ally, or even a remotely-friendly country.

On the other hand... Nuclear power isn't really something that the Chinese can build cheaper there for sale in the US; it will be used locally. Their use won't undermine use in the US. Wouldn't better, safer nuclear power be better where ever it's used than older, less-safe designs? In this case, sharing the IP doesn't really sound like a bad idea. Perhaps R&D can be shared for the benefit of everyone rather than hoarded for extra profit by some.

But regular people, just trying to do their jobs and pay their bills, are now caught up in this -- over partial funding for wall almost no one wants (or cares about) and DHS says we don't actually need. Even Trump tweeted, on Dec 20, 2018 (last fucking week), that the Border is currently "tight":

With so much talk about the Wall, people are losing sight of the great job being done on our Southern Border by Border Patrol, ICE and our great Military. Remember the Caravans? Well, they didn’t get through and none are forming or on their way. Border is tight. Fake News silent!

Perhaps if you have things you needed to say, but didn't have the chance to, this would give you your audience, but I know from experience that you can always do that by yourself. My wife Sue died of a brain tumor in January 2006, just 7 weeks after diagnosis. Thankfully, we had that time together to spend our last Thanksgiving, 16th wedding anniversary, Christmas and New Year together and she, literally, died in my arms.
