I assume the issue comes from the method Microsoft wants to distribute their systems. If they allowed "unofficial" people to create "updates" for their system, then they would have to release source codes which could get leaked. Microsoft would not risk that.
And then of course, Windows is probably the worst structured OS that exists.
Have you ever wondered about using the Metric System instead of the Imperial one?
I know my Discovery are so kind to translate the units to Metric systems, but they are having problems with the subtitles lately, and I have no idea what a feet, pound or a mile is.
My main reason is that the Metric System is more used as an international standard, and consider what you do for science.
Everything must come to an end. Surely Microsoft will too someday.
Besides, I am not entirely sure when it will happen. Since it still covers over 90%* of all desktop PCs, I am that sure it will happen any given day, but I can only support moving in the right direction.
*note: I don't have a source for this, but that's what I'm told.:o
Guess it just proves that it's easier to get a satelite in orbit these days.
I mean, Denmark have two satelites in orbit ( I think ). Despite our current government is cutting down on it ( though they are saying they are not ), pfft, politicians.
Anyways, I hope their satelite stays in orbit for a bit longer than that last one. :
It doesn't surprise me, and the fact that they should choose a name like 'Longhorn', I mean that is proganda for the masses, Bush goes around doing 'Texas Longhorns' handsigns all the time.
Is it me or did a lot of people lie to me at the same time, but I've heard that you could download the beta some time ago ( don't know if you still can ).
I don't know, one just told me he ran his server on Longhorn, I was like, "why?"... never got a reply.:(
Seems that if someone who dedicated his site ( life ) to one Operation system ( and for that reason also one software corporation ) suddenly admits that he likes the other!
Oh noes! How is the world going to end?! Are we going to see off topic stuff on every page now?!
Like mathematics on porn sites?
I suppose that small harddisc is safer in a mobile than in my pocket, risk of losing such small items is huge these days.
With holes in my pockets and all that.

I suppose "FreeWindows" might be something unheard of, but perhaps in the future it might happen.
If so, then how did Xorg get their domain; X.org?
Me confused.
So when you buy the set, does it come with instruction on how to play "Smoke on the Water"?
Or does it just assume you are playing the F notes?

Well, my guess is that Microsoft will sue construction sites for creating "objects" with windows in them.
But you can't blame SCO for not trying.

Are they gonna do the same with Windows? Install and throw away?
Could help them get rid of people giving it to friends.
You know the saying; In Space, nobody can hear you sing.
I wouldn't call it a success, though.
Rather; "smashing failure that led to a somewhat success"

Even in Europe!
I know it's right around the corner, but I still can't wait, it might have been me but I just came into the Movie project too late.
Anyways, I liked the questions, as they seem understandable and I got a lot information from them.
Even though I was hoping the movie to British dominated.
Basing a Web Browser on IE would be one of the stupidest thing to do if you don't want to kill the non-standard HTML code floating the web.
But really, I've never trusted AOL, and most of their members are newbies, and in some IRC channels, *.aol.com is banned.
But hey, they have to make a living of something.
Wait, that's wrong, programmers/developers don't do sports, it's a paradox!
Who wants that amount of discspace in their hands?
:(
There are two kinds of people, either people with very low LAN connections and people who need a backup of their porn. Not much else use.
Imagine travelling with it:
"Oh jeez, Jimmy, you dropped the Holographic Disc! Now dad lost all his files."
Pity for dad.
I don't know, I'm terrible at everything... and so is my karma.
:o
I have the feeling of bad luck.
I was hoping now I could believe to surf naked without me feeling ashamed. :(
I still have to live with the suffering, it seems.
An early peek at Longhorn

At least things get updated faster with Linux than Microsoft and it's evil software applications.
Oooh, ain't they evil!

What a horrible world!
Another one of those great small stories.
:)
If it wasn't because I was inhuman, I would cry of happiness.
I think it's quite simple. Making films these days you have to cut out some, because else; they are getting too long!
:(
But I do agree, taking the jokes out will be the worst part of moviemaking the Hitch Hiker's Guide.
My brother used to have a very B-movie looking film version of the Hitch Hiker's Guide to the Galaxy.
:p )
:)
It was on 2 VHS tapes, but it didn't suffer any lack ( other than the filmish part of it
I don't have much information on it though, I saw for a long time ago ( I just remember the screen where they blew up the Earth ).
