Umm, no thanks. I'm more of a hockey man myself (though NHL 2K6 is taking forever to even ship from Amazon), but I was mistaken, WE9 is out for Xbox. If you're looking for good Xbox games they're out there, the Otogi series is amazing and Jet Set Radio future is still a blast. Not exactly a list but I really don't feel like going off on another subject.
As the above reply stated, Xboxes cost more to manufacture and distribute (I'm assuming that's factored into the "sold at a loss" claim) than they're sold for. So every Xbox bought up by "all the buisnesses that were buying Xboxes and turning them into linux servers/clusters back when the first box was hacked" had to be replaced on the shelves by another Xbox that cost more than MS made from it,
Why on earth doesn't Microsoft want a "piece of the pie"?
Yes they have, all the PC gamers with their imaginary "prick-waving" (quotes to avoid "imaginary prick" comments) contests. Console manufacturers (don't know if it started with Sony) realized that they could afford to take a hit on intital unit sales and recover that through software sales in order to make their hardware compare more favorably to current PC setups. The strategy just stuck (Nintendo's a notable exception, I believe).
You realize that the article is just stating that they're aiming for a hack-proof machine, right? Just because they're aiming for it doesn't mean they expect to acheive it, they just want to get as close to that goal as possible.
But no, this is stupid Microsoft we're talking about so let's all laugh (seriously).
I know it's no confirmation but that's still good news for me considering I haven't seen any official words saying next-gen titles would cost any more.
That is assuming that everybody makes sound, informed purchasing decisions. Lots of things sell on hype, though I agree with the quality of the product in this case. The scenario you portray isn't always how things turn out.
Yea, what I would've given for a simple port included in the Xbox version. I loved the old MP, Xbox Live support for that would've made me happy beyond belief.
I'm pretty sure it's readily available already. And if not, there are probably controllers out there that do a half-decent job of emulating the N64 controller, only with a Playstation/Xbox controller feel.

Yea, and now on the PC without auto-aim I might actually have a reason to upgrade my computer.
He just wants it for the nostalgia factor.
Splitscreen PC games really shouldn't be so unheard of, especially when you're on the same team. Easier to communicate a message when your buddy's right next to you.
Japanese developers may prefer pre-rendered FMV, but with what new consoles can do in real time can you be so sure they won't be willing to use the (probably) in-game engine for FMV's? I always figured the pre-rendered scenes were for conveying emotions and adding a more human side to character models that weren't detailed enough to become attached to during the course of the game. I guess we'll just have to see.
But the one time the odds fail you and an unlikely natural disaster wipes out your community you get a bunch of criticism for where you live. Plenty of people have lived in hurricane-prone areas and have never been hit. I grew up in West Palm Beach and my home wasn't hit until I left for three months last year, and in those three months West Palm was hit by three potentially devastating hurricanes.
You might remember Alien Front Online. Along with Propeller Arena, they were going to be the first two (to my knowledge) console games that supported in-game voice chat.
I was really looking forward to it and Crimson Skies is a cool game, but it's just not the same if it's not on the DC.
Secret computers often have USB ports and floppy drives, even CD burners. They have these because of the existence of secret USB drives, floppy disks, even CD's.
Just lock up the removable HDD and make sure the computer's a piece of crap. Seems to be the norm with what I've seen.
Sure, ease of use is great and all but what about us people who know what we want to play and are denied that ability? I can count the number of CTF matches I've had on Containment on one hand, that map has potential but Bungie, in its infinite wisdom, has seen fit to keep me from enjoying it without risking ANOTHER neutral bomb on Coagulation.
It was a joke.
If Luigi's the OTHER sibling then who's the first?
...Yoshi?
Power and efficiency are two different things. Are Spitfire fish powered?

Are you ok? Great, you liked the soccer games, no need to get all pissy because they're not in the tops 10 or 12 lists.
And Winning Eleven 8 is available for the Xbox, so why mention the PS3?

Ok, bad link. Anyway, 4GB only yielded this:2 E16820228036

But I still agree with the pricing, argument was never really the point of my post.

Anyway, I'd be really interested in this if Apple's sole intent was to acheive an absurdly long battery life. I'm sure they could do with with a black and white screen and no hard drive.

But it would be reasonable to be surprised if you've done so for your entire life and have yet to see a single train.

Better not live anywhere that has any natural disaster at all.
Ever.
