What about exploration into the great unknown? Is that not important? 200 years ago, there was this thing called the Wild Frontier. Unsettled, unclaimed, and dangerous as hell. Oregon trail and Dysentery?
My point is that exploration is vital to the survival and expansion of the human race. What would the world be like if Jefferson hadn't gone through with the Louisiana Purchase? And yes, while space travel is *very* young in its development relative to (first world) human life on earth, that's OK, because sooner or later, we MUST go into space to survive.
Not really... water is a better conductor of heat than air. When you run the water through your heatsink, it takes away more heat, faster than air. Then when you go to radiate the water in its tank, the air takes the heat away (yes, albeit slower, but with the right amount of water/storage tank, the transfer is much better than that of just plain air).
Craigs list is awesome. I've found my last 2 summer jobs on there (I'm a student at Carnegie Mellon - so summer is all I can really take on), and keep any extra down time (When I'm not playing soccer) occupied with various gigs from website work to programming. For those of you out there who went to the MS conference in Boston, I'm one of the 20 guys who set up all the computers for the event. As much as I hate MS, they paid us damn well for just setting up computers.
but alas, that requires so many more "high points." What's going to happen to the kid with the hours to kill? Its a fine line for game developers to walk: on one side the game requires hours and hours of playing to move along, on the other side, the game goes by too quickly. The latter is an even bigger problem if the game has minimal replay value.
I've seen people appologize for things that they haven't done either. Just because he appologized, doesn't mean he's done wrong. Could just mean he's spineless...
I'm pretty sure he's referring to private goods (such as cd's, food, etc.). Private goods can be exclusive, meaning they can be distributed to individual users. Public goods, are those that when consumed by one individual does not reduce the amount of the good available for consumption by others (Wikipedia). Examples of this include: oxygen(from the air), water, etc.
I agree, there's nothing better than having some person gain access to my TV and repeatedly switch channels so I could never play halo or watch p0rn. That might just force me out of the house to find a social life.
I think more accurately this would be like putting the mailman under citizens arrest and searching him for illegal substances because he broke into and then entered your house (or just entered if the front door and/or Windows(c) are left unlocked).
Now, IANAL, but I belive you can run non-GPL software on linux legally... it's done all the time. But the linux distributions (Ubuntu, SUSE, etc.) are GPLed software, so they may not be released with royalty code. As a user, you can install it, but distros can't come with it by default
But the last mile is the killer part. I highly doubt google is going to become an ISP.
they're also much smaller! So you can pack more of them into a smaller space with less crosstalk.
move to India
Will it run Vista?
Lan parties...
But the sooner the better when it comes to undoing that neglect.

Save the CHILDREN.... Vote for me.

2 words: "Rat Race"

And shouldn't you know what your ultimate goal is?
their server: "What is it good for? Absolutely nothing!"

More importantly, who first said, "You've got mail"?
perhaps he wrote an artificial intelligence that he modeled after an imaginary son that he can interact through AIM.

IANAL, but I believe the mailman is covered by federal law to get to your mailbox.

Don't forget about Seinfeld. That had a small cast (4 main characters) and a handful of reoccuring sets.
