And if your company has deep pockets, then this is a viable solution. Even if the company has deep pockets, the management may pinch every penny regardless, then you're back to the age-old problem for many: IT people talking to non-IT people.
As part of my fraternity room, I put in an old school tv/atari. Got to blow those damn things to make 'em work. But, Ahhh, there's more people in my room playing Combat tanks than there are in the room next door with the Xbox 360 AND a Playstation 2.
Not true from my experience (could just be piss-poor-airline?). Multiple times my bags have beaten me to my final destination. Especially apparent when I fly out to visit my grandparents with a stop over in Mini-Haha.
I (like you), also have my file system memorized. I know where everything is located, and am a sorting-nazi, so "cd/home/user/docs/dir/stuff" is the way I navigate. But Look at most people's filing cabinets, and it's a mess. Look at their computer.... also a mess. For me, if I'm in unknown territory, it's quicker to click through a bunch of folders rather than cd folder... cd another_folder... etc.
If I were to hire an employee, I would disregard any degrees from online universities. Why should I (and any private high schools/colleges) consider a student who comes from an online middle school?
Interesting.. I just discovered an older version of GNUCash this morning and had some complaints (enough to keep me from using it), but according to the change log, my largest complaints are fixed. It'll be interesting to see how well the DirectConnect works... and more importantly... is it secure enough to trust?
First of all, let me state for the record that by no means am I a mac fanboy. I run windows to play games, I support OSX at the work place, and run linux for everything else.
Now to the point: If OSX (or Leopard) ran on PC's it WOULD NOT have every single one of XP's problems "in minutes" -- nor ever. While driver issues could cause *some* problems - by no means would it be the downfall of Apple's OS. I can't help but laugh when Window's Folks use the "Driver Excuse" to explain why Windows has so many problems. It's been said before, and I'll say it again: Window's biggest problem (i.e. reason for instability) is backwards-compatibility. Apple has been avoiding that pretty well.
Yes, if OSX (or Leopard) ran on PC's (and got a large enough market share), it would certainly become a larger target for spyware and viri, but I think because of its Unix backbone, OSX would be able to hold off better than Windows.
MS have a lot more practice at dealing with those issues which is why XP is by and large, so much better than 9x in these ways.
First of all: MS has more practice? Yeah, more practice at avoiding the issues! Second, Yeah, OS9 had problems... and the progress OSX has over OS9 is a heck of a lot more compared Windows 95 -> 98 -> ME (yeah, I joke) --> 2000 --> XP. Comparing XP to OS9 isn't fair. Course, OSX against XP is a blowout too...
the problem is... the parent's are SUPPORTING their kid's actiosn by suing the school. Yeah, it's the american way.. yadda, yadda, yadda. The point is, it's obvious where this kid got his value system (and idea of "free speach" from).
It's a library... they already "share" their connection with all the terminals set up inside. Why does it matter if someone wants to use the internet sitting at a desk, or on a bench just outside the library?
IE runs on unix? Where? When? How? wtf mate?
We had a anti-plagerism program for English classes in my High School.
Friends don't let friends game and sex.

I don't about you, but my check book isn't that big
I'm the Juggarnaut, ****
Ummm... yeah... I'm gonna have to ask you to come in on Saturday....
You can always lock your doors and turn on the alarm system, but Windows is always open. I wonder if the DOJ is running Microsoft Judge 2000?

It's hard. I've done some modding for Enemy Territory to create bots that play decently, but by no means are they perfect.
are you usinig VMware Tools? That'll provide a big boost when it comes to interfacing with the VM through Server
Appears to be so...maybe there'll be a coral link somewhere...

It's ok... when I realized the front page had macromedia flash... I bailed. No wonder their "tubes" are so clogged. It's cuz they got crap like that.
