Despite being the creator of the second most popular desktop OS, they don't compete in the "desktop OS" market because they refuse to sell their OS to other hardware OEMs (like Dell). They refuse to do this, because the desktop OS market is broken and they can't make money there and only by bundling can they make money.
So MS should ask people like you (an avid Apple user, who even blogs with 'iBlog') about how to design their Mp3 player. Why? It's not like you will EVER even consider buying an MS Mp3 player. Why? There's already an iPod and a lot of people (like YOU) love it and won't convert to anything else. So why make another 'iPod'. I say it's good to be different. Screw the scroll wheel. Sure the Zune has it's shortcomings, but so does the iPod. To each his own.

And even bigger flaw is considering "Roughly Drafted" a proper magazine. It's actually a blog run by a Mac Zealot who previous masterpieces include a fascinating piece on how Apple real market share to be around 35%. Now if that does alarm you as to the credibility of this site, please take any article on Zune there with a huge huge grain of salt.
My name is Amaandu Butaani and I am the head of the secret police of the order of the stolen merchandise sale in Nigeria. Recently my capitan got hold of a large container with overt 5000 Nintendo GameCube DS LITE version. I can ship them to your doorstep with FedEX, in return you can send me one (1) Ipod VIDEO version. Please reply with your social security number and complete bank informacion. My wife and children in great danger, and so my life.
The big names you put forth make up perhaps less than 1 percent of the outsourced man-power in India. People here are are complaining against the quality of the CS / general development work that is being sent to India in massive numbers, which one would be foolish not to label as subpar. So again, the R&D work done in India, although getting much press, is insignificant.
Putting aside the fact that you came out as a complete idiot during your confrontation with other posters, please note that GM and Ford are the worst performing automakers in the US. GM is near bankruptcy, and the only thing keeping the company afloat is it's foreign acquisition's like Daewoo in Korea & Saab, just like Volvo is doing for Ford.
And you know for sure that Aero is the one component on Vista that "sucks up memory" because you are a Mac user who has perhaps done extensive testing with an OS that's still in BETA... hmmm... doesn't really sum up.
"Preloading" here doesn't mean there gonna load their Mp3 Players with "goodies" like those promised used iPods from eBay. Instead, it means that you will be able to by a bunch of songs along with your Amazon Mp3 Player that will be loaded on to the player prior to delivery. And I am sure this would be a introductory special offer, like by an Amazon Mp3 Player and get 50 free songs (or 25; or 100!)
Oh, and before you go on and bash this service to be "loaded with DRM bullshit", please tell how exactly is Apple's service WITHOUT any DRM? And isn't it true that with every iTunes update Apple keeps adding more and more restrictions to how you can use YOUR OWN MUSIC!
I for one, welcome our new South American Jungle Mp3 Cartel Overloads...
I woudn't host with Google unless it's a paid service, *or* I get the same features and ownership I get at my paid webhost. Other than that, such a service would be no different that Google's Blogger bloghost service, with that ugly bar on the top.
The article mostly talks about the telcos trying to offer Video services at a "premium" to subscribers, not much else. This way they can take a huge chunk of the next-gen Video-over-IP market, by having better quality videos (and most likely live video feeds) over their network. How they would stop video.google.com if Google decides to up the ante and offer H.264 quality videos is beyong me... that would probably be illegal.
So basically they are asking Congress to let them bundle a Video & Internet in one package sans the legal troubles. In my opinion, Verizon (a TELCO) is already doing something like that with their FiOS service (Broadband + Video), although in limited areas.
Do you research first pal. During the UN Press conference they specifically mentioned that they have developed a modified low-powered version of the LCD screen used in portable DVD players. They expect them to cost around $30-$35. And they are definitely not talking about 10k orders, they are talking about 100k orders. And what makes you think you can do a remotely correct cost-analysis for a project of this scale???
Also, nothing broke during the conference, and I saw the whole thing. Only that the screen and base where not hinged together and powered through external cables, which looked liked a broken laptop.
Fireworks actually competes with ImageReady and NOT Photoshop. But since ImageReady is always installed in conjunction with Photoshop, people assume that it is.
That said, Fireworks is A LOT better than ImageReady and even Photoshop when it comes to creating graphics and text for the web. If they kill it, screw them. I'll keep using my MX 2004 copy.

Yes, Microsoft is a $14 billion / quarter believer of your broken OS market theory.
Are there no regulators down under? This would piss off monopoly-hawks (and major eBay sellers) if they tried it in the U.S.

Newton ran on the Mac platform, I never knew that one...

You moron, MS has been offering such a service for a few months now... http://domains.live.com/
Yes there is. It's been around for a few months matter of fact...

What does RIAA have to do with putting bluetooth on the iPod? That's Apple's Job.

Read what you just wrote:
10(highly clean) = GOOD
0(highly corrupt) = BAD
Now interprete that based on the actual numbers:
China 3.2 = GOOD
India 2.9 = NOT AS GOOD AS CHINA
Read again, China is ten places less corrupt than India. You really think Finland is the most corrupt of countries?
Please read it carefully. The greater the number, the MORE CORRUPT the country.
Do you really think Bangladesh & Nigeria out of all places are the least corrupt and Finland and Denmark are the most???
I'm affraid the Center for Corruption Research disagrees.
Excuse me, but China's strict one party system keeps corruption in check, something that's as much part of Indian culture as hotdog is to America.

You're a fucking moron who needs to do his research before opening your mouth.
