Troll me, if you will, but nobody really saw this coming, at least none of the Google and Apple fanboys on/. And did you see all the features and the fact that you can build on top of it.
Oh, and for those who don't know, Microsoft Start.com development has supported Mozilla based browsers for over a year. Anyway, it's good for innovation.
Then what about those who like Gates? Aren't they even more ambitious? I mean come on, give the guy some credit for having the biggest technology company on the planet...
Oh, and yes, Microsoft-powered PCs are less stylish and with a just-gets-the-job-done attitude. The cheapest Windows PC cost are around $300 (that's a whole computer with the Windows OS), so don't compare Apple OSX prices to Windows XP prices... Windows doesn't come out with a new version every year... the Apple OS does.
P.S. If you are willing to wake up at 3:30am, you'll probably get a better PC for around $150 (after rebate)... can't recall when the last time I saw an Apple for that cheap... or with a rebate at all.
Are you high? Because if you are not, I must be in heaven paying only $80 for a 160GB drive, when according to your "theory" you must have paid out of your ass for a similar size drive.
In short, hard drive prices do go down, a lot. Especially considering that MS never upgraded the Xbox drive from the tiny 10GB hard drive it originally came with, it wasn't a significant cost.
I always knew Apple will one day fuck themselves up with dumb shit like this, I mean after all, they did invent the one-button mouse. Oh, and before I forget, they invented the two-hidden-buttons mouse as well.
It's good that they are focusing on fixing the problems that web developers actually face. I am one, and all I ask from them is to fix rendering issues so I don't have to use hacks to make my site render the same way across browsers. Oh and fuck the Acid Test, as the IE developers said, it's a "wish list" for the future.
What the fuck are you implying? My Windows XP has recorded uptimes of 5+ months... and it works in a GAZILLION hardware configurations... So what?
But I commend your sneekiness: oh, Apple has to use DRM, because to keep the OS so great it has to limit it to run on only their own optimized hardware, but Microsoft, those dirty bastards are goign to do it only for the profit$"
The sites they are talking about are not your every day religious zeolots web forums, they are hardcore extremist websites that are constantly monitored by the media, and always quoted for breaking hostage stories from Iraq and all.
And they are not easy to find either. The last one I stumbled upon was kr-hcy.com, a known terrorist group from Pakistan that's officially banned in the country. Amazingly, their website is hosted right here in the U.S.A by Globat.com, who failed to respond to two emails I sent to them complaining why they were letting the site go on... greedy mother---ing webhost.
It's so nice how you guys are ripping this small company, and praising Dashboard, without mentioning once how Apple completely ripped their idea without a single credit.
P.S. Please don't stop unrelatedly bashing MS due to my comment.
The article reads, "Improvements in Firefox, along with IE 7, could lead to a dramatic increase" NOT "Improvements in Firefox, along with IE 7 restrictions, could lead".
Don't tell us that, you want you O'Reilly Factor watching wealthy Republican. I know it! This is another Watergate-type conspiracy to curb freedom. DNC Rules! Democrats Rock!
I have 15/5Mbps Verizon FIOS at home... that's a direct fiber line to the house, not the CO or the curb, but to the HOUSE. And the line will soon carry digital tv signals with capacity for thousands of channels and come with an MS-powered DVR box capable of recording six streams simultaneously. And both theoratically (and in practical) the net bandwidth can be increased upto 10Gbps.
Poor girl, just because she choose MS certification instead of no-cert no-recog Linux knowledge she's getting pounded by unkind dicks on Slashdot. Poor girl.
Perhaps the author should have done some more service by pointing out in the story that she got certified in C# and was later internally tested again to verify her skills before being granted a free trip to Redmond.
Well, I've read around that Apple was pissed off that IBM couldn't delivered the promised GHz to them but was able to design multi-core 3.2GHz chips for all three console makers.
And a blow is only a blow when there is no counter-blow... so losing 4 millions units/year doesn't sound all that bad when you are gaining 27 million/year units (MS+Sony+Nin).
Please STOP refering to the 'Blue Screen of Death', it's long gone and out of fashion. Can't you guys find something new to bash MS about?
Microsoft is back!

Answers.com already has a Wikipedia clone... where's the news???
Yes exactly. Now only if you could show how SONY and SAMSUNG are "western brands"?
I'm surprised nobody's referenced Verizon's FiOS so far !?!

I wish Microsoft good luck in their endeavor.
And that's without sarcasm.
Now troll me.
The producers left out the most controversial part of Pengiuns... they are GAY!
So, If I am a TechNet member, I can submit a story about "Windows Vista" containing a hidden feature that performs a DDOS attack on apple.com?
The fact of the matter is that Apple has clearly stated that it's OS will only work on it's own Hardware, and the best way to do that is TPM.
Oh, and read the .nfo file on the leaked devkit DVD... it clearly states so.

First Yahoo! buys Konfabulator and now Microsoft deliberately uses ancient aerial photography to confuse those seeking the Apple HQ.
This is turning out to be one bad Apple day.
Ooooh, I missed one comment because it was under my threshold.

Is this guy high on Firefox?

Beat that Finland!
CafePress + Customized Stamps + Google Investers = Zazzle
(Oh, and add slashdotted to the list too!)
Ooohhh... but I've been watching Starz Movie Channel live as part of my Starz Ticket Movies on Demand package for many a months.
All we needed was one on Battlestar Gallactica... thanks Slashdot!!!
