"...and one of it's biggest features: built-in mail."
I don't see that as a "biggest feature", I see that as a big downfall. What if I am forced to use Notes or similar at work - why would I want built-in mail which provides more code for bugs/security vulnerabilities to hide? At least you can use Firefox as a standalone browser or the Mozilla suite if you want built-in mail. Personally I use Firefox & Thunderbird as I do a lot of browsing/e-mail checking without doing the other - why waste system resources loading the other when it's not being used?
"Want to improve your Karma? Instead of "Post Anonymously", try the "Post Humously" option."
Do you mean Humorously in you sig? Or do you actually mean the thick spread made from mashed chickpeas, tahini, lemon juice and garlic which is used especially as a dip for pita?
"I subscribe to my power company's optional wind power program. This means that the electricity I use at home was sourced from a windfarm."
I doubt that very much, I think what they mean is that the sum of elecricity you and the others on the program use at home is equal to that the company produces by their windfarms - the actual energy you personally use will probably be a mixture of all of their power plants outputs... unless you have a seperate cable running straight to the wind turbines of course!
Scratch that. If I RTFA, I would know that that the warning which told them about fining them 2m Euro everyday was actually in December 2005. It was in relation to failing to comply with the 2004 ruling, but the fine was only mentioned in Dec '05.
One thing the article didn't mention however is that the fine can be issued retrospectively, i.e: if they issue the fine today it would be back-payable to December '05!
RTFA - no way! Not when the link is on the words "database of child pornography"... I can imagine the headlines now... 3,000,000/.ers arrested for paedophilia!
Personally I want to take up 2 5.25" drive bays and position as many 2.5" drives as I can fit on their side for a RAID array, at 1-1.5cm that would be 8-13 drives although you'd need to remove a few to leave room for cooling which would be supplied by a large fan at the front & back for cooling. It would make a great raid array. Of course with 8-13 drives I'd want them to be SCSI (on different controllers of course) - but damn 2.5" SCSI drives are expensive, like this baby - at ~£300 a pop you're talking £2400-£3900 excluding the conrollers... but it would be very nice... especially if you had an led above each drive telling you if there was a failure on any of the disks.
The English language was started in the late 5th century AD when the Angles, Saxons & Jutes emigrated from what is now Northern Germany & Denmark. The Angles had a rise to power over the other tripes and hence all three tribes were known as the Angles in early documents. All three tribes spoke what was called Anglish - Later this was known as Enlisc and later due to vowel & language changes it became Inglish and then English.
If you're telling me that a language spoken in the same country for the last 1500 years has suddenly become "British English" just because other countries speak the same language I'm afraid I'll just have to laugh! Further, while the Welsh, Irish & Scots do mainly speak English these days they all have their own languages which are still widely spoken today (except maybe the Scots... not too sure about their language).
And before you say I'm just saying that because I'm English, I'm not, I'm Welsh. Our language is even older, in fact it's one of the oldest languages still spoken today except for possibly Chinese, Greek & Latin. The Celts were in the British Isles as far back as 600BC... and yes... most of my family do speak Welsh, but if I ever have to call it Welsh Welsh you can take a running jump!
While IE doesn't support PNG's correctly, you can get transparency working by using an IE filter in the css, however it does make the css fail the validation tests:
Surely you would be better off using the null route (0.0.0.0) rather than sending the requests on to your network? Search google for windows null route!
Errr lack of documentation for linux & open source software?? Since when were there man pages in Windows? Using command/? barely provides enough info and --help or -h in Linux provides the same amount of info + you have the man pages! Personally I think the documentation in linux is better than that in Windows, especially if you include the community documentation (forums etc).

That's totally unheard of, and make one think that maybe this was done, and this will sound completely conspiracy nuts, on request from the US ("MPAA"). Collection of DNA has been reserved for severe crimes; Rape, murder, etc."
Perhaps that's true where you are, but not in Europe (not sure how much of it) - I got convicted for drink driving a few years ago in the UK and my DNA profile is now sitting in a police database somewhere. In the UK you don't even have to be convicted for them to hold your DNA, just arrested and charged!

Networking... that's the role playing part of the game isn't it?
Bah - can someone please translate the article for me? Babelfish doesn't have a Stupid->English conversion yet!
Nothing to see here... no really! It's a broken link! Here's a working link to the article.
"Yahoo China found mp3 files of recent releases for direct download within a few clicks."
How's this different from any other search engine (try the 3rd link and 1 more click!)?? Why aren't other search engines being sued?
Haydn.

Singly in the order designated or mentioned: I'm referring to each of you respectively.
OK, seperating water is fine... but you want me to seperate babies? You sicko! Although I have to ask, do you start with the arms or the legs?

From the article...
"Spammers themselves, of course, may be located somewhere completely different, such as Boca Raton, USA (for example)."
Any wagers on not RTFA as the cause of this comment??
