But can't everyone just say F#*k you to these patents. I mean if every person says screw you to certain or all software patents that are blatently stupid, and uses that stuff anyway, what are they really going to do. Throw 5+ million people in jail? I mean every single person could just not go to court for their patent infirngment hearing. Is the government going to issue 5+ million warrants for arrest and spend, how many millions of dollars just to enforce some asshats, obviosly i'd hope by this point, stupid patent. People seem to forget that if enough of us just say screw you there isn't a whole lot they can do asside from not make said software anymore, but then I'm sure someone else would be more than willing to start.
annoying the hell out of people isn't a job. I treat my email box like my snailmail box. If it has an envelope i tend to look at it, same goes for email, if it looks like crap it most likely is crap.
Man you people b@$ch about some stupid stuff. I mean seriously, people. At least the old games will still work at all. Look at the 360, you are going to have to buy the game again if you want to play it on the new system. I think having to play the game again > is not such a huge deal. I think having to spend another $20-$40?!? for the same game again would call for the "wah" sound, and maybe a little bitching. Microsoft has the code for those games and could easily make it somewhat backwards compatible. I mean if they have to rewrite the games to play on the 360 in the first place, wouldn't it be easier to write one bunch of code in the OS rather than rewriting 20 games? Just be happy we will still get to enjoy FFIV on two HD screens:-)
OK, so lets get this strait. We will do away with the tried and true 'physical' way of measuring time with something that does the same thing every day no matter what we do(the sun), and replace it with computers. Which we all know are perfect, run forever, always work everyday no matter what we do, even if a nuke goes off or some other means of emitting a huge electro-magnetic pulse disabling every electronic device around.....oh wait, i think that might actually effect the computer. I think when it comes to something like time, something that we need to run our country and world, we should leave the defining factors out of our control. We tend to break things a lot. And time is something we don't need the ability to break. I think God knew that and thats why he put the tool on the top shelf.
oohh nooo, they may be able to find out what needs to be learned. Wouldn't you think its better to find out sooner about something that needs to be reaserched and understood, to have more time to reaserch it. well not more time really, but just being able to find out about it now rather than in two years is great. that means we reap the benefits of it sooner.
I was reading through that H.R 1076 Section (5). The one on limitation. Here is what it says for the first one:
(1) LIMITATION- A United States person or resident may be detained under subsection (a) of section 3 only while there is in effect for the purposes of this section a certification by the President that--
(A) the United States Armed Forces are engaged in a state of armed conflict with al Qaeda and an investigation with a view toward prosecution, a prosecution, or a post-trial proceeding in the case of such person or resident is ongoing...
Now aren't we currently "at war" with al Qaeda? And I don't see it ending any time in the next ten years. Thats a long time to hold someone in prison, with no trial or communication with a lawyer or family. A time in which they don't "really" have to investigate anyhting.
I thought we invented the internet, didn't we? So why whould we have to let someone else control that which is ours? I mean sure if the UN had helped fund and create the internet, then sure they can have some controll. I don't think that they should be able to just drop in after things are already running just fine and say, "We should get to decide how you run things."
I don't know if anyone has thought of this, but what is the motivation anymore for buying a CD. I don't buy them anymore, because two months down the road the cd doesn't play properly anymore. And I don't mean huge gouges and scratches from being abused, I mean hundreds of tiny scratches from the cd player, or warping from excesive heat in a car cd player. Sure a cd may only cost $14.95, but if you have to replace the cd a couple of times that turns into something like $45.00 if you've had to buy the CD three times. Thats $45.00 for maybe five actually totally good songs, and seven or eight not-so-great-filler songs. Really i think the value in CDs has gone down the drain. Why spend the money on something that doesn't last when you can "not" spend the money on an mp3 that will last for a much MUCH longer time.
Not all are processed through them. The second Link I got on goolgle had a nice list of all the players in the buisness listed by a former telecom employee.
http://www.rense.com/general18/isr2.htmlhere is a link to the Fox News(Unfortunately) transcript/article i read if your so inclined to read it.
I recently read an interseting article by an actual phsycologist, named Sandra Witelson,in which she did a study on over 120 specimens of male and female brains, including einsteins brain. She came to some interesting conclusions that some of you may find quit interesting. Basically she came to a different conclusion. Einsteins brain wheighed in at 2.7 pounds, thats over a pound and a half lighter than the average male brain. Now Here is a link to the article it is an interesting read.
I really find all of this slightly annoying. I buy music. If it's worth the money. If the music is crap, I don't think I should have top pay to discover that fact.
I work in an industry where licensing is a huge part of our buisness. And from what I have heard almost all, if not all, of the costs of producing the film; from paying the actors and studios and everything else was paid for before the release of the movie just in licensing fees. They are making bundles of money either way one looks at it. Albeit, people should pay to see a great movie such as those in the Star Wars series. I dropped $20 to see the movie in a leather recliner.
i think with the tons of money these car companies have and the fact that the computers in them are more proprietary than an old compaq, its no surprise that the viruses did nothing. With the amount of R&D cash on hand these guys have, i think they probably thought of that one.
"...RealID Card legislation that's been attached to emergency military spending bills to ensure its passage."
A similar thing happened with our conceal and carry law last year. It was attached ot a completely unrelated bill to try and improve its chances of being passed (which it did). However later that year it was found unconstitutional, and was repealed, due to the fact that it was attachedto a bill having nothing to do with one another.
I would like to know how this is any different or "more unconstitutional" than what happened with our conceal and carry bill.
Yah know, perhaps some would like the ability to quickly join servers which have lots of players on them. Rather than having to join an online "clan" to meet other players. Some of us don't like gamespy.
lets get retarded, lets get retarded.

that was super fast. like lightning even.
