perhaps they use the line of the magnetic field, the north -south/south-north direction as apposed to an east-wes/west-east direction , to avoid flying 400 miles to the east and dying in the ocean. it may not have anyhting to do necessarily with the polarity.
The company I work for is retarded. We have maybe one person who edits the site, if that i think perhaps we outsource that but i don't know, we have a whole of 3 people in IT that to IT work, and maybe 5 that are working on some unknown project that was supposed to be doe years ago, but that still sux and is probably going to drop productivity. That's what happens when your company uses a buisness model from 1920. I still don't think our website is up to date nor will it be. Aside from the fact we have no internal database or website for inter-company communique or customer tracking, it's all ".doc" or ".xls" crap. and thyey don't use the appropriat software for the appropriat task. Lifes a B.
This is where I find string theory very interesting, it asks the question "Why is gravity, in comparison to the other forces, ie: magnetism or light, so much weaker?"
I'm sure at this point, with the tchnology we have now for radiation shielding, there may be some truth to the article. But perhaps once the technology is available to block those rays, the "counter effect" they speak of would disapear.
These people tell you everything is addictive, and if it's not yet it will be once they figure out a way to convince you of it. I bet if they were around 10,000 years ago they would have been telling us that talking was addictive too. using the same reasons, "oh Bill isn't the same person, he's been 'talking' a lot lately" or, "Talking causes you to loose touch with your close ones, and not really participate in society". And of course all of this is being said with sticks, grunts, and other not so usefull forms of communication. But that's how its always been done, they say, and besides I don't relly know how to do that "talking". We'll just assume since we don't understand how it's happening or why its usefull that it is bad for you.
It is true though, some people do always take things a little too excess. Like talking for example, some people talk to much. Like me now, and the persons complaining about people talking to other people too much on the internet, or using their brain too much on the internet. But again, as I said, there are people who do some things just a little too much...
Whatever happened to just buting a copy of the OS and it ran. I mean really like they need to be bastards and charge for instances of a software running. I mean I can install and run this game three times, but I only paid once. They don't seem to have a problem with that. It seems that your not buying a product anymore. Pretty soon they will charge per service per virtual server. That'll be sweet I bet. I just want to buy the damn cd and do whatever I want with what I friggin paid for.
actually, i work in a buisness that deals with licensing and such. All money they made on episode three was profit. they raked in so much dough with toys and other licensed products to pay for the movie before it was in theatres. These idiots can lick my hairy ass.
When will the riaa get it through their skulls that this kind of campaing can be compared to the so called "war on terrorism". They will never be able to stop illigal downloading/copying of music until they realize they are no longer going to be able to charge $18(US) for a cd. People don't want to go to a store to by a cd anymore; they want to download the song they heard on the radio that they thought was sweet. I personally think record companies in general are heading out. Bands and musicians really don't need them anymore to promote their music, or to sell it for that matter. With the kinds of software available, and a huge marketing tool, a la internet, at the fingertips most musicians and bands are fully capable of getting their music out to the general public. I think it will be some time before this really picks up, but believe me, I think they realize they are on their way out the door(due in part the rediculouse amounts of money they charge bands and musicians to even create an album, not to mention the fact that they must take a huge percentage of the profits to fill their fat pockets). I recently visited a site,Taxi.com [taxi.com], that is the first step in getting to this point. (Albeit a small one)

that your brain is supposed to check the grammer as well as the spelling. If trends keep going the way they are, with spell checker and grammer chekcking, people are going to end up stupid. With no idea how to spell or form a sentance properly. I already find myself not really trying to spell a word, when that happens i jump on dictionary.com and search the word. This makes me read(a few times) the word and the definition. Which in turn, shows me how to properly use the word. People don't need spell checkers and grammer checkers. What they need, is to learn what they are trying to spell and say. Having something do it for you must shrink your brain.
To see the amount of damage caused over such a large area. You can see where the water is draining from neighborhoods back into the river. I saw it near the Galvez st warf.
But i would rather pop an imaginary cap in some tangos @ss, while running around like a madman with a few squadmembers, than have to spend hundreds of thousands of hours on one particular game. there are too many way to cool gamesout there to only spend time on one. I play WoW, but no nearly as much as I play BF2, and not nearly as much as i'll spend playing the good old Raven Shield. Just as others have stated, each genre has its following. I don't think there will ever be a shortage of people willing to invest their time in other genres than the MMORPGs. Just look at the BF2 servers out there.

There are tons of people out there saying microsoft blows, and I havn't heard of them getting sued. I think they are just scared because, it must be true. Personally I have never used any of their tools, but I think they should be able to handle a few people badmouthing them. I think this is a gross overreaction on their part. I say to them "MAN UP" and "GROW UP" and maybe make your product better if it has problems, don't sue the guy who wants to save people the headache and money of using said product.
To the guy who says i stole his movie. I'd say F$ck him! I wouldn't buy your shittie movie anyway. I downloaded your shittie movie to see if it was shittie. And guess what, it was shittie, and not worth my money. So go F*&k yourself, and try being a little more creative in the future and make a movie I would buy. Movies I've bought lately, after downloading and finding they were worth my money: Anchorman, DodgeBall, Day After Tomorrow, Donnie Darko, Royal Tenenbaums, Old School, War of The Worlds (it's ok), Eternal Sunshine of a Spotless Mind, Big fish, and a few others for the ladies.

Didn't they change that law to allow those who make money at their sport can now compete in the olympics? a la shawn white?
