Why not China? It is an awesome adventure and everyone would learn from it.
NASA would rather spend their money on a space station, I think they should go back to the moon instead. Send an unmanned mission first maybe, then they could learn from this probe and send another manned mission.
I think there is still much more to learn from the moon. It seems to be a better use of money rather than simply orbiting Earth, which many satellites already do very well.
Thanks for the insight. I am curious as to what the next material will be used to make chips and how they can make them reliable. Electron switches, nano tech or some design. Mitichlorian design;)
I guess I was assuming they had rigorous testing standards, but apparently not from what you are saying.
I was aware that it costs roughly the same amount of money to make a Pentium chip as does a Celeron chip...I heard they slow down the Celerons intentionally, but I am not sure.
What they missed though is the more features [e.g. transistors] the more likely some are not aligned or otherwise created properly. That creates "worst case" chips which operate slower than they should.

So then you would just return it for a new one that is significantly better for the same price?
I was assuming here that both of them were performing optimally.
"Eyes without a Face" by Billy Idol was heard playing in the background of the operating room. This was followed by "The Real Me" by the Who and the Pixies' "Broken Face."
I would want to read all of these posts. Getting your information hand-fed or advocated by certain advertisers kills free speech and free thought.
If newspapers want to adapt, the first thing they need to do is write stories that are truly interesting as well as informative. Greater in-depth and investigative reporting will attract readers to their newspapers. Also, please avoid all stories about Paris Hilton, Nick & Jessica, Brad & Angelina, and pseudo-advertisments posing as 'news.'

It means it can only be used for making free word puzzle games and innocuous digitally-animated films about everyday things that take on anthropormorphic qualities.
If it is found to be used for weapons guidance systems, stock market trading, hacking, or spam emailing, it will automatically erase itself from the operating system and go home.
Questions for the FCC Overlords of Programming:
Who determines how much a channel is worth? The FCC? A parental group who hates Howard Stern and anything deemed indecent by their 'decency' standards?
Will you have the choice of either or plan? To opt out?
Can you choose from something other than one monopolistic cable company that only serves your area?
If you do not have the choice of leaving your plan the way it is, I see this only increasing the price of your overall bill if you want to keep the same amount of channels you already had. Then again, maybe this will inspire people to stop watching TV altogether...but probably not.
Sorry for the sarcasm if it offended you. I wanted to write something witty, and apparently it didn't go over well. I personally have nothing against New Orleans or free Wifi, I just think that instead of the mayor planning on building casinos and free wifi, the money could be better spent on 3 things that are needed immediately:
1) Housing for displaced residents who have nothing to plug their computers in to
2) Food and water for those who are hungry, including stray pets
3) Subsidies for businesses who need help getting back on their feet, which in turn, hires more New Orleans residents who will then possibly buy a computer and use wifi
Again, I hope the best for New Orleans and its residents who have suffered in many different ways. There is a better future ahead!
Cool! Now New Orleans residents will have the connectivity they need in order to email an SOS to FEMA, so they can come rescue them!
This is much a better solution than spending that money on something as trivial as a safe levee system or housing for homeless people. This free wi-fi is actually working out quite well for them.

it costs Intel just as much to make a dual core Yonah, as it did for them to make a single core Dothan.
Considering it is the same price for much improved technology, this proves Moore's law is correct?

Now that you have cleared that up, how do you pronounce 'Zndovzny?'
/. minds think alike (see my post below)
Just a public service announcement for all those who don't want to look like the latest idiot pronouncing it incorrectly.
You will thank me in the future.
What is "Instant Obsolescence?"
If not, I would never buy it.
Once the lenses are scratched it is worthless, unless you enjoy listening to music with blurred vision.
For under $500, I'll show you the wonders of super glue when applied to your favourite sunglasses & mp3 player.

all start singing...."We all live in a Yellow Machine, a Yellow Machine, a Yellow Machine... haha"
Girls wear dresses to parties? Since when?
But how would you find out about a Windows PC that costs $300 more than if you had walked into a store and bought it yourself?

I can't hear anything
Fremont is just the beta name, Boogle or Bill's List will be the new name.
But it doesn't mean they automatically get $500, that is an urban legend.
If WADND thinks they will win this suit, I have a hotel on the Boardwalk to sell them.
