    that is a very good way to look at it.

    somethign that has always bothered me about blogs and people not liking what is said on them and the blogers calling it free speach is this..

    if i use my right to free speach - then i am talking.. i am standing next to you and talking.. you can choose not to listen to me but you will still hear it because i spoke it.

    but if i write something and you read it.. that is diffrent.. the blog is out there for everyone to read.. it is like leaving a book on a park bench.. you chose to read it. there is some personal accountability taken apon the reader.

    i have always had issue with anonymous web content being considered "free speach" - personaly i feel everyone should be accountable for what they say. but i think "Pamphleteering" is the best way i have have heard it clasiffied..

    a very good way of looking at it, thank you

    "Better yet, once you get 'em produced, get Wal*Mart to buy the suckers. Amazon may be big, but they're peanuts compared to Wal*Mart."

    unless it is walmart/sams branded stuff - walmart doesn't own what is in the store - they get suppliers to agree to a per unit price - the suppliers make and send to walmart who send it out to stores - once the item is sold the sale is credited to the supplier and all returns are sent directly to the supplier - at the end of each quarter or 6 months (depending on contract) walmart pays the supplier the net sold - returns. If walmart decides to stop selling it they ship it all back to the supplier.

    walmart is the distributer .. they don't own shit in the stores.. getting your stuff into walmart might be good but it has also put alot of people out of biz as the suppiler has to front everything and gets no returns until walmart sees sales

    my question is exactly what formats does it read.. it has an SD slot to expand storage - but can i just copy over my existing eBooks or stuff from random projectes to the sd card and read it that way?

    while i find the instant download from amazon very very very nice - and i would love to buy and use one and to support this - i do NOT want to have to rebuy my current 300+ book lib to be able to read them on this thing.

    also the price is understandable but..

    100 = i would already own one
    200 = i would have grumbled and ordered it tommarow
    300 = i would have looked more in to it and even the chance it would work right buy it
    400 = i am going to have to give it time and have all my questions answered befor i think about buying it..

    they need to work on the price point if they want to get these things out there.
