OK it may not be shooting science forward but it was a great tool for engineers to learn how to build space stations.
Before the ISS the knowledge really only existed with the russians. Keeping the thing running is also providing valuable insight into future designs of what and what not to do.
I am sure someone else has mentioned this the ISS is not solely NASA, it has other agencies. And backing out just like that could cause a bit of friction
Having worked in numerous countries this is not something unique to the US.
I suppose most people see it as flex time but it never works out in favour of the employee. Sometimes certain things have to be working by a set date and this requires late nights etc.
In apparent defiance of color theory -- that dark surfaces absorb light and white surfaces reflect it -- Sony Corp. has unveiled a black screen that allows a regular digital projector to vividly display TV images and business presentations in a brightly lit room.
From the article itself. I was glad to read this since I have a projector myself (Infocus X1). I'm hoping the screens aren't overly priced
5) The new color scheme on the front page is, for lack of a better word, gay (it's light purple, ffs). The rest of the 'new' UI is... pretty, but I don't see any changes besides rounder triangles.
Sorry its so GAY to you but you can change the color scheme to something not so gay. I think Yahoo! anticipated that there would be a few "gay" ppl who would like the color scheme.
I was reading your post and thinking how could companies handle this. Obviously more testing but that increases the final price. And then there is the point about X-box, PS2 etc. releases with bugs.
One solution is perhaps first sell the game to PC only for a cheap price. And the public, because lets face it dev houses are not going to retreat and start proper testing themselves, plays/tests the product while patches are released.
Finally we have a stable product which can be released to the consoles which don't crash while browsing for online players (this didn;t happen to me but I can imagine how annoying it must be).
Or maybe he is exploiting a flaw in the US legal system. Which in itself is a good thing.
This may make lawmakers and other ppl see this arbitrage oppurtunity and shut it down.
Then again I'm probably just talking out of my arse.
I recently purchased a fanless powersupply, at first
I was worried, but the brand (CoolMax) and
reviews really got me interested.
Its so quiet its eerie, I keep having a sinking
feeling one of my fans is dead and my machine is
slowly melting.
If you go to the map24 page it mentions they are teaming up ith google maps

Lisa in this house we obey the laws of thermodynamics
You are right. It is only a small rewrite. But then after this there is a testing cycle then QA (and sometimes preformance testing).
A lot of organizations can't just change their production server willie nillie!

It's soo dark in that game any ads will be missed. Unless you walk into a room and see an imp guzzling down a bud light!
Or everytime you used the torch, you'd see the magLite logo.
It reminds me of a Babylon 5 episode....
green drazi and purple drazi
Each drazi gets a colour (randomly) out of a box. Then they split into their respecitive colours and figt it out to see who rules.
Just don't use my red swingline stapler

Actually Earth bound telescopes are much better at resolving images at the visible wavelengths.
As for UV or IR a lot of that gets blocked by the atmosphere, space telescope is the best option.
As for most of the pretty pics you see they are enhanced and shifted so you can see it.
"Plutonium power source and controversy".
I think people were more worried about the flyby with earth
Yeah you are right. I suppose they could mean that.
I'm holding out hope my infocus will work with this screen (hate when the blinds don;t completely shut and I have a bright white line on my image).

If you RTFA you'd realize the screen works for any projector. Its not specific to a sony projector.
Just a short 40 years ago, blacks couldn;t even use the same water fountain.
Let's not complacent, we still have a long way to go.
So does this mean that Gigli the game will revoulatinze gaming?
Not only did he change the outcome, the page has collapsed!

You are right, Linux, AppleOS, solaris even windows is not a 100% rock solid, but DOS is.
