    It sells newspapers though.
    And thats the whole point. The idea is to sell newspapers. They will pick anything up that looks strange and taut it.

    The same applies for TV news. I wish I remebered the movie but it summed it up.... We want news..not dog bites man but man bites dog!
    Though sometimes we do get some nice morsels of news :)

    I know I'm going to get a lot of flamebait. A lot of H1Bs I have met are essential. They have skills that could not or too hard to find in the US.

    I am sure a lot of companies have abused the H1B system to find cheaper labor but a lot of companies need them to find necessary skills.

    How about actaully improving the system so it is essential labor rather than a cheap way for companies to emplot labor.

    I did enlist in the Imperial navy...

    Did I get to fly any TIE fighters, no! All I did was scrub down the hanger bays and hear about all the stories of rebels being blown up.
    AA is nothing like the army (get up at ungodly hours, asshole squad leaders etc.)

    deploy and this process being applied to rockets.

    Anyway there is a really good article on
    how the write softweare for the shuttle.


    As the article says its all about process not single minded genius/nutter.

    If you RTFA you will see he proposes counters for this kind of attack. Random time outs but this pretty much kills the efficency gained with TCP.

    As for a better protocol. You are quite free to write and implement one. Just find other ppl to use it. Don;t forget there are quite a lot of protocols out there (UDP being probably the next biggest).

    You go to vote, get a retinal scan stored with your vote. If you vote more than once, [insert appropriate action here: {use the most recent vote | use only unchanged votes | throw away vote | some other action}].

    You can't do this because it is a secret ballot. The votes just get recorded, there is no record of who voted for who (could lead to some uncomfortable situations).
    No matter what there will always be some weakness. India has a seperate body to monitor elections and they have forced reelections in certain areas that hint fo fraud or mischief.

    I understand the games are getting more and more complex. I think its more a culture of the publishing house.

    For instance take something like Mario Sunshine or Zelda WindWaker. These games are quite complex (sure nothing like morrowind) but they look great and are bug free.

    I really belive it to be a culture of the company rather than the complexity of the game.

    As much as I'd love to belive that I don;t think that will happen.

    Stan Lee made this mistake for Spider man, most ppl know to ask for a percentage of the revenue flow not profits.
