that definintely looks pretty sweet.. one day I was browsing through the games in ubuntu's add/remove programs list and came across OpenArena and was thoroughly impressed.. my friends/co-workers who don't use linux or anything opensource for some weird secret reason saw me playing it one day and asked what it was.. when they heard it was free and had deathmatch capabilities, they were soon hooked and we were all doing some serious gibbing religiously once a week after the office closed.. this particular game based off the Q3 Arena engine does look pretty damn sweet for a freeware game.. i can never get tired of these damn things.. it's just fun!
for linux? that's just retarded.. are they just trying to fool the people who have never used linux before? why the hell would anybody pay for something that is free? how the hell are people able to sell Linux for commercial use? it just doesn't make sense..
It seems like every couple months we get one of those shit eating emails from Bill Cobb elegantly explaining to the eBay world why listing fees and other fees need to be increased.. how come our money isn't being put to good use? where's the security? it's apparent that the reason fees have hiked up was for the fat cats' own personal benefit, and didn't actually secure their system or provide anything of use to the people who support eBay at all!!! thank you Bill "Piece Of Shit" Cobb..
1/5th of my time slacking off is a little too high of an estimate for me personally.. i personally design some simple websites for a company that does a lot of major IT work.. but i'm also a "receptionist" that answers the phones all day, takes messages, and fixes spyware on computers that are dropped off in the shop.. but during the middle of the day when the phones slow down from ringing, and there is no site work to be done, i think it's perfectly fine to sit back and read a little slashdot.. i don't get paid for my lunchbreaks, i don't get personal days, and I don't get sick days and paid holidays.. but when there's work to be done, I bust my ass and get it done and that is what I'm paid for.. to be honest with you, fuck getting paid hourly.. if i wake up every day and drive 30 minutes to work and stay at some place for 8 hours a day, then I'm gonna make sure I'm paid for it.. i don't care what you do, if you're out of your house and are on the clock, regardless of your activity and productivity, you should get paid for it accordingly by your employer.. people have less and less free time at the home all the time and it really sucks.. i don't know how people even have families nowadays.. i see my wife 2-3 hours a day thanks to our shifts.. and if i spend a little time slacking at work, then I fucking deserve it.. and my boss deserves to fucking pay me for the time he/she wastes from my personal life..
I'm so tired of every product beginning with "Windows" or "Microsoft".. On a nice default installation of Vista, you click on All Programs you see about 15 programs all beginning with Windows.. It's really annoying actually.. Windows Calendar, Windows Contact, Windows Defender, Windows DVD Maker, Windows Fax & Scan, Windows Live Messenger, Windows Mail, Windows Media Center, Windows Meeting Space, Windows Movie Maker, Windows Photo Gallery, Windows Update...
WHEW! ok.. I'm so tired of seeing that word in front of the title.. I'm thinking about going through and renaming them all to Calender, Contact, Defender, etc... just because it'd look a little more unique and wouldn't piss me off..
I wonder what the tracking software does exactly.. is it a full desktop monitoring software? like a vnc session type thing? or does it simply monitor web activity? i'm curious to see if he could get away with some sneaky ssh'ing and tunnelling.. i'm sure he'll figure out a way around their tracking regardless.. there's always a way;)
well let us not forget that many things can crash firefox too.. especially in linux.. firefox simply disappears sometimes with no crash analysis or anything.. but regardless, internet explorer users need to trash IE6 right now.. it amazes me that people still use it.. i know for some it is required for development reasons and certain programs need it as well.. but that's no excuse for the rest of people out there too lazy or ignorant to install a stable and more secure newer version of IE.. i personally think IE7 is a freakin' great browser from the perspective of a user who uses both FF2 and IE on a regular basis in a shlew of different OS's..
Absolutely.. I personally use the XV-6700 with Verizon.. It's the same phone as I'm sure you're aware of.. But man I love it and it also is a godsend for me as well.. I use it on a daily basis to sync up with my Exchange Server at work to get my appointments for the day, to keep synced up with my contacts and emails too.. it's crucial to be able to sync to the exchange server because my appointments are changing all the time during the day.. and the new Google Maps for PPC? HELL YES! So nice to have that ability as well.. I installed a great little media player too called TCPMP which plays practically any type of Media including DiVX.. Highly recommend for those PPC users looking for a good media player.. I enjoy watching old episodes of Six Feet Under on my PPC while driving to work hehe.. a damn great phone, with WiFi capabilities, twice as many features as the iPhone, and nearly 1/2 the price..
wow this is insane.. sounds like a direct copy of bittorrent indeed.. is bandwidth really a problem for microsoft? are they running out? or not capable of getting the best and fastest? bandwidth does seem to be a precious thing nowadays.. and no i don't feel good about them using my bandwidth.. if i pay them money for an OS, then why the fuck are they trying to take more from me?
YO ADRIAAANN!!! you gotta be fucking kidding me.. this is so ridiculously retarded i can't even begin to think why i hate his reasons for making this the "deal breaker".. i'll break your FACE.. that'll be the deal breaker.. seriously, how about you click on your nice little "Add/Remove" programs button under the Applications menu, and install a different media player.. it takes all but 10 seconds to install VLC or XMMS.. pure laziness is all this is.. if you pay MS and Apple hundreds of dollars just to play mp3s, then you are one stupid mother fucker..
definitely a positive step in the right direction!! I was searching on youtube the other day about surface computing, and I found some extremely old.. looked like it was in the 80's.. two guys sitting at a desk with light pens, manipulating a surface computer.. dragging and resizing pictures identical to MS Surface.. They too were using a projector instead of the table being the source of the display.. i'm sure many of you have seen it.. but to me i think it's a good idea, and maybe saves money in comparison to a huge table screen.. plus, it could make the surface computer extremely portable one day.. being able to throw your computer up on any wall and start using it.. sounds great to me!! but anyway, i'm stoked to see a Linux Alternative.. this is freakin great.. I can't wait to start using Beryl with one of these bastards;-D
well of course it complicates things to a certain degree.. i think it's ridiculous to waste your emotions on getting headaches with wireless networks.. why any company would make their wireless network so important that it deserves getting a headache over is something I can't understand.. no company should rely on a wireless network to get their every day work done.. just plug your damn laptop in one of the ethernet jacks that *should* be placed in every important room in a building.. there's nothing i hate more than when i get phone calls from some idiot realtor, or someone who thinks their job is so much more important than anyone elses, about their wireless internet not working..
you see, the specs for the Metro and the Smart are practically the same.. i know people that have used those cars up to 400,000 miles.. they both have 3-cylinder engines and get the same gas mileage.. why the fuck wouldn't you compare the same god damn gas efficient economy car?? but i guess you're the type who would buy an iPhone too..
My 2 door hatchback Geo Metro could easily get 50mpg no problem.. it's ridiculous that this car, although very cool and somewhat gas efficient, costs $14,000.. that is INSANE.. the purpose of these crappy little cars is that they are supposed to be cheap.. i remember seeing the estimated price tag on Zap's website years ago and it was predicting $10,000.. why the sudden jump? hell, the Yaris is only $10k-11k.. ahh well.. atleast we'll start seeing them soon..
so the countdown begins for all the idiot masses to waste a ridiculous amount of money on a phone that has the same amount of media attention as retarded 80's haircuts.. pretty soon the fad will simply die out, and there will be a few remaining losers that are balding yet keep their 80's haircut, and then they get interviewed on VH1 Behind the Music to preach their views on why they feel the 80's aren't dead.. well, live on iPhone fans.. and keep your eyes peeled for the next product that you just HAVE to buy.. i'll see you on Behind the Music when all of this fad passes over and you're still trying to explain yourself to the world as to why you spent so much money on a phone with hardly any features and for 3 times the price as the more feature-rich cell phones..
hypothetical bullshit.. maybe, just maybe, Google finally did something right in the world of business.. and if we're lucky they'll take over the world with their incredible power, and it will be for the better of humanity.. think of all the starving children in Africa.. we should be praising Google and giving them our money so that the children too, can have Gourmet meals morning, noon and night.. if one company deserves our trust, it's Google in my opinion.. i find it ridiculous to even be preaching about these unpredictable aspects mentioned in the article.. they seem to take better care of our personal data than our government surely does.. Google for President!
we mustn't forget that the public isn't capable of handling the truth.. so "offending" the whitehouse is a MUCH higher priority than saving the planet..
i understand why you feel that way, it's just that its free and still equally as exciting when you kill someone..

damnit Unisys! I TOLD you to turn off telnet in your inetd.conf!! but you just didn't listen..

"A video from a recent FOX 11 (Los Angeles)," *closes browser window*
slashdot is no place for mental stability. and i own my house, so therefore i will crawl back in my own basement.

the 80's.. BAH what was i thinking.. the dude is running XP near the end.. his haircut is sooo fuckin 80's though..
It was called the "Cruiser" Tabletop Surface Computer. The video can be located here

when can i put all that on a flash drive and insert it in my brain?
