Turn off all of the spiffy visual effects in Windows XP, remove all the useless programs that run in the background but you don't use, and uninstall your bloated antivirus and you'll find that your computer runs just as well as that old Win 3.1 box.
I'm guessing one of two options:
Option 1: There are few enough employees that they can "only" get 52 million dollars and still get plenty of money.
Option 2: They build more than one supercomputer at a time.
I don't know how these things usually work, but couldn't they just come up with their own license that says that the software and all of its code can only be used on Apple hardware and that attempting to make it work on another platform is a violation, etc?
We had 640x480 with 256 colors.. and we were happy about it!
(No seriously, I still have a couple video cards that let computers do 256 colors instead of just 16)
The part I couldn't stand was that there is no way to get the menu on the top. I stopped using Opera for the same reason. I like having my menu bar above my address bar!
One of my friends actually has a case mod so his PC is also a (really slow) RC car, so don't make too many assumptions ;)
Aw man.. of all the days to not have mod points :(
When everything else isn't an "mp3 player", it's an "iPod rival".
The "Snakes on a -something that rhymes with plane-" parodies were pretty funny(ex: Snakes on a train). Also things like the old school version.
And anyone running Windows 98 has more serious issues than this bug..
Well isn't that ironic.. People too paranoid to update are having issues with bugs.
Yeah, because that operating system hasn't been out-of-date for 5 years..

Hex doesn't contain letters. It contains extra numbers A through F.
Make a bigger switch and go all the way to Linux. XGL has a zoom-in function built in, so you don't need it in the program.
Considering how many people are willing to get on a plane for E3..
Slashdot comments of course!
Slashdot's way of getting rid of excess mod points..
I think it was a joke..
Wait, you mean there's news besides Slashdot??
So ironically enough, I was just outside and I noticed a couple of these, then I come inside and find out they have a Slashdot article about it..

Well it worked.. at least, the clogging the legal system part did. Not that anyone pays attention..

Not joking.. I used to have Linux on my laptop just so I could play Frozen Bubble..
Isn't this still cheaper than hydrogen and such?

No, the question is "Will this version of McAfee FIT on my cell phone?"
You mean clothing that runs at 110 degrees?
