If most of these companies had some web page where you could login some random generated data to feed into the phishers web page then they could use it to track this false user data with some web IP. This way banks and other companies could create fake accounts after a user request in order to track this actions.
Combine this with some strong court measures and you probably would stop most of the phising stuff. I ALWAYS do this every time i recieve a phising email (and make sure i do not use any link directly from my email account) so companies can track these if they will to do so.
But since most of the companies don't take these actions seriously they probably don't care about my warn emails. Anyway, the only think that stop's them from getting a final STOP in these questions is the lake of will...
so it's start to be a good seasons for lawyers to pick up new action class lawsuit...

Mostly BSD, Linux, Minix, FreeDos and a lot of open-source programs. Perhaps people are now in debt with unkle Bill and develop this for free since they have still BASIC in the 70's. Or perhaps BASIC was (has the name say) just to BASIC for people to perform some thing more complex then "Hello World!!!"
So that lake of money to develop professional software may explain the crappy stuff made by microsoft in the 80's... We now should expect given these words that OS like XP and Vista should be professional, good-looking and well documented (no hidden API)...

Somehow the server must recognize this as different accounts so the fuzzy match only takes place if the names is not associated with some account first. Yes it's truth. And there's a single reason for that: NT server performance with the UI being managed in the kernel just sucked. If all you want is a server why should you care to spend a CPU on a UI that is not being used 99.9% of the time?

They could have taken a better approach with the remaining Windows products but Microsoft seems to like "Do-It the Hard Way" and "Create Inovation from Copying" philosophy.

Why can't any company to study a natural product and improve it further? Then YES, you should patent your newly product, not the natural one.
And here everybody beneffits from this public knoledge. If today labs had to pay for an antibiotic license you would't have such large drug variety. Has most people should know with the increasing usage of antibiotics most affected micro-organims tend to develope some resistance and create a new infectious form. I doubt the labs would invest money in creating new antibiotics forms if they had to license it first.
