    You can go to http://pecompact.cjb.net to get PECompact with a warning plugin.

    When run on wscript.exe and cscript.exe (the Windows scripting hosts responsible for VBScript execution) that will display a warning that the script could contain a virus.

    If that happens, it will get pulled before anyone can download half an mp3 and the person who uploaded will get reported to the RIAA/SPA.

    I am relying (perhaps naively) on the good faith of the /. community to not abuse it.

    Also this offer has been standing for over a month, and it is only just now being taken advantage of.
