I picked this up the other week for £20 and I must say I'm really enjoying it. However, it is of course a sequal and does boast "nice graphics".
Good game though, it'd be shame if people avoided it just because they thought it was another sequal that was just the same with a higher polygon count. It should be noted that ever since I saw Indiana Jones as a kid I do have an irrational love of killing Nazis, so that may have improved the game slightly in my eyes.
So what about all the people still complaining that they can't get a 360?
Oh wait, I guess they can't want one bad enough because they won't empty their bank acounts to buy a games console. Maybe people don't want to import and would rather get one locally in case there's a problem with oh, say the PSU?
From TFA:
"Don't Wake Daddy is actually one of my favorite board games," says Kojima. "It was one of my inspirations for creating Metal Gear."
and
"I will say this, the main character really is some kid," says Kojima. "He is not Raiden in a 'some kid' mask."

I consider myself a pretty hardcore gamer, but I enjoyed the game a lot. 10 hours of pure fun are just as good as a 50-hour RPG that is pretty good, possibly even better.
Beyond Good and Evil is a great game, and it's especially great for more casual gamers. Even doing some side-adventuring, I finished the game in around 10 hours but didn't get bored for a minute. The difficulty isn't too taxing, the story kept me interested and considering I picked the game up preowned at a low price I was very happy with my purchase. I would recommend it to anyone, especially someone looking to introduce a non-gamer to gaming in a casual way.
"His/Her career probably spans more years than those displayed since these dates are based on the credits documented in MobyGames"
It seems to make people lose their gender.
Whoever modded my comment as Flamebait.....I'd sure like to know why. If any religious extremists read/. they'll be plenty pissed off by now without me suggesting they don't like people disagreeing with them.
Mod parent up.
Wishlists are a great way to make sure you get something you really want but still get surprised. This year I only actually have one game on my Amazon wishlist, but I have a selection of books and DVDs too. I know my mum and dad will probably get me a few of them but I don't know which, so Xmas day will still hold some surprises, plus the fact that my parents still buy me a few presents (books/DVDs/CDs) that I didn't ask for and they just think I might like. This is something I am very grateful for, it means I don't just get things that I've wanted for a while anyway, and some of my best presents have been "risky" choices from parents.
That's your perogative of course, though in my defense I don't think I was trolling, rather letting another user know he could have saved himself some riducule by actually thinking twice before posting. No, I wasn't particularly friendly about it, but then I live around gaming fanboys who love to slag off games they've never played so it becomes a sort of instant reaction.
So basically, you saw the word "Pirates" and that it was online, and thought "omfg it's Puzzle Pirates lol!"
I know most./ readers can't RTFA to save themselves, but I'd have thought you could at least saved replying about a game if you have absolutely no idea what the game is.
I think it's sad that in this day and age you felt you had to post that anonymously. Not a comment on you, more I would have hoped people would be more accepting here on./
(yeah yeah, "you're obviously new around here").
Of course these people know their beliefs are right and if people don't believe them then they bloody well should do.
Welcome to the world of religious extremism, if you need me I'll be in the bar with the bulletproof glass.
In case any Brits didn't know, Child's Play is now involving Alder Hey's Childrens Hospital in Liverpool (yeah that one that was featured in the long-running docu-soap-thing "Children's Hospital").
I'd have loved one up here in Scotland but we're working on that for next year. Nice to have one on this continent to donate to though!
For what it's worth, the folks behind the excellent Sven Co-op mod for Half-Life 1 are working on a version for Half-Life 2. It's been in the works for quite a while now and IIRC they are getting some help from Valve (though it's possibly just some explanation of game code etc). Progress seems slow right now but you can keep an eye on http://www.svencoop.com/ for more updates.
You should play this mod. It's one of a handful of good single-player mods out there which is something I am much more interested than yet another multiplayer mod featuring zombies. It's played over a single map, and it's not very long. Ehh ok some good points, it's a good difficulty, the map is very well designed and feels very professional, and it's been written into the same world as Half-Life 2 is set, a good excuse to use combine grunts and their familiar technology. It's a sort-of followup to "Someplace Else", a mod for Half-Life 1 by the same creator, but having now played the previous mod I can safely say it doesn't really shed any light on this new episode. I personally can't wait for the second episode to be released. Grab Metastasis and some interesting backstory here: http://www.hylobatidae.org/minerva/phosphenes.shtm l
Perhaps, I thought they were specifying SSB(not Melee, but the first game which was on the N64) and I was pointing out that the sequel seemed to have what they wanted.
"Make it so that master engineers could coax more speed from a ship's engine and repair shields faster."
I actually believe that this is the sort of thing that they are putting into the game. Have you seen the LCARS video? It shows what an engineer character will be able to do with a computer console on a ship in the game. You can change the flow to the quantum gravaton matrix (if that's an actual ST gadget then go me!) and everything else they do in the show. The warp core is yours to tinker with, or at least that's what the video suggests.

While I agree with your point that price might make the Revolution very attractive(I've owned a PSX and PS2 and am considering switching to Nintendo next generation), I think your prices are way out. I'd love to see games at $30, but I don't think that's going to happen in the next generation of games. Aside from budget titles with low production values (some of which might be good, of course) it's already a given that the cost of games will probably increase.
I live in the UK though so am a bit out of touch with the price of new games in the USA. I think $30 is pretty cheap nowadays though, am I right?
I could use my global username ("Kazzahdrane") on my DS. It's 11 letters long and, you guessed it, the DS has a name limit of 10 letters:( This would actually help people find me on the wireless service since everyone knows I use that name.

Not sure if your post was sarcasm or not, so thought I'd let you know that my friend saw the Pixies here in Scotland in...August I think.

Free love on the freelove freeway! I was just singing this to myself earlier and felt the need to share :D

Isn't this what the Adventure mode in SSBM is? Seems like you just described it in your post anyway.
When I went to the link it loaded a macromedia shockwave file in the browser.

You fuck pigs? Dude, that is not at all related to the topic of this news post.
