Hey everybody, Apparently there is some creep out there pretending to be me, and he has been spamming my MySpace friends list with offers to see me in Las Vegas if people sign up for a lot of garbage online. Just to be clear, this is definitely NOT ME. This is an IMPOSTOR, and we are looking into having his MySpace account yanked, after which he will hopefully be flogged and tortured. I'm very sorry if any of you were inconvenienced by this. Really, I don't suck. Thanks, Al Yankovic

I never actually got the invite, though I did get a very similar-sounding one supposedly from the Goo Goo Dolls. I guess that was a dud too.

I work for Gamestation in the UK and this is our returns policy too (on hardware) for 7 days. People seem to appreciate that we understand that you can't always somehow know if you'll like a game before you buy it. I work for Gamestation, I assure you I buy nothing for RRP ;-) Sony and MS may be mortal enemies but they aren't stupid enough to start a price war as long as people are buying games for £50. At work I always point out the high price of games to people considering buying a 360, but also point out the excellent games now available for the system and that the real competition (the PS3, the Wii isn't even fighting the same battle) is much more expensive and will have much more expensive games. People seem to appreciate the honesty and often buy a 360 anyway, and a lot of them recently have gone away considering an additional Wii purchase when the console is released.

  20. Affordable in the USA, but not in Europe on U.S. PS3 Game Prices Staked At $59.99 · · Score: 2, Informative

Here in the UK we're expecting PS3 games to cost between £49.99 (the RRP of 360 games) and £69.99 (apparently for huge games on Bluray discs). This is the information game retailers have so far. Just for American readers - £49.99 is currently $94.

I honestly think Sony will make themselves Public Enemy #1 here in the UK if they try to sell a game for £70, but they've already shown they don't care about Europe in general anyway.

    • Sonic the Hedgehog
    • Ecco the Dolphin
    • Golden Axe
    • Altered Beast
    • Columns
    • Toejam & Earl
    • Ristar

Of course there's no guarantee that these are VC titles but I'd guess it's very likely. Personally I can't wait for GOLDEN AXE - the game so awesome that my mum beat it.
