Saw Quinto in season 2 (3?) of 24 and said, "That guy is the next spock!!!!"... I have to point this out to people every so often because I failed to bet large wads of cash on it and need to make myself feel better.
That would be pretty cool, to come home and drop my phone into a dock/cradle and then pick up my "laptop" or "pad" form factor thing and have it magically synced (and not just the email/calendar/photos that Android currently syncs via TEH CLOUD, but MP3s and MP4s and current level on Angry Birds too). While we're at it, I've always fancied getting myself a car-kit for my desk at home so I can use a traditional phone shaped handset while the actual phone is in the dock and also to boost my cell signal as my house is surrounded by trees.
Seriously, Multitasking. The Amiga could run two graphical demos at the same time in different windows, while formatting a disc. In 1985.
In 2011 you insert an Optical disc and the entire system locks up for several seconds, and just try playing two video files at once. This is with 1000x the processing power.
I think it's the trend away from giant pc towers and CRT monitors that's making people want to buy laptops. They get the job done, don't have as many wires, take up less space and, frankly, look prettier. What I find really interesting - being a bargain hunter and guerilla recycler - is the massive quantities of no-longer-needed "Computer Desks" that people are now getting rid of - presumably as they now have a laptop which can just sit on the table, and be stuffed in a drawer when not used, rather than taking up an entire corner of a room. Heck I even saw one sat out in the street a few weeks back with a sign on it saying "free".
Blinkbox in the UK is flash-streaming, works fine on OpenSUSE. Though probably not for long now that I've mentioned it and the MAFIAA radar picks up my comment. Sorry.
Amen to that, just to repeat parent : "..if you were intending to sell them, throwing them up on TwitPic for free seems a bit idiotic in the first place"
How about the President invites a buck of Hacks^H^H^H^H^H Journalists from various news agencies and papers to the white house to look at the photos and then go away and report.
I really need to get it on DVD, went to see it at the cinema but the guys in the projector booth were obviously having a laugh and replaced the last reel with one from Event Horizon
Note that the background of the entire PDF is the green cross hatched stuff, the certificate has been scanned in and overlayed with a degree of transparency (look at the left, where the page fold is). The "anti aliased" number 1 you're talking about is just a lighter shade, like some of the pencil marks and portions of the date stamps. may be due to a wet fingerprint at some point in time or maybe that corner was slightly lifted off the scanner surface
Your argument seems to be that the musicians would be lost without a "Pro" producer to help them out with "Pro" kit, both of which they have to pay for.
I know how to mix and generally get things to sound right. I'm also a shit musician. I like to press buttons and twiddle knobs just for the fun of it. Therefore I contest that so long as I was in the garden shed with the musicians it would sound plenty good.

I stand corrected, thank you

e.g The Shining. Which is 4:3. In my experience people hate vertical black bands even more

Toggle scroll lock. Nothing in the known universe uses that key for anything.

Thanks, I'm on a vanilla OpenSuse 11.X have not attempted to streamline it at all before complaining :)
Amen, it eats the battery on my laptop and performance is a dog, but I'm too principled to revert to Windows XP.
Can someone translate this and explain if we need to mod if Funny or Informative?
Which is why we need 600Hz displays. 24,25,30,50 & 60 are all integer factors of 600 (25,24,50,30 & 10, display-frames per video-frame respectively)
Alas, 48 is not (12.5), dammit
