And that is going to be different from any other console launch how?
I bought a total of 1 game for my ps2, SSX, mostly because I was forced to because of one of these bundle deals. Granted it was a great game but it was about the only one worth getting at the PS2 launch.
2nd generation games are always better than first generation, although many second generation games are still big steaming cow patty's.
Considering that the ATi GPU in the 360 is more advanced than the r520 that we are still waiting for them to relase...I'd say yes...and easily.
Graphics-wise it shouldn't be a problem, but I don't know how cpu-dependent the engine is so who knows how the rest of it would run.
My guess would be that the 16x part may be slightly louder, more expensive and prone to failure that a 12x part, and the difference is going to be minimal to the end user anyways.
good luck hooking that $20 20gb hd up to the xbox360.
First, it uses a 2.5 or 1.8 inch hd (ie laptop harddrive) and second we don't even know what connection they are going to use to hook it up in the first place, so there is no saying if you will even be able to hook a standard hd up anyways.
A little tip for you....don't cheat/sploit/harrass/grief or generally be abusive to fellow players in MMORPG games. If you can't follow these simple guidelines then don't play MMO's.
Blizzard's servers, Blizzard's rules. If you failed to follow them then it is entirely your fault and you are not entitled to a refund of anything. Besides, if they were going to refund the media you'd only be getting a whopping $.75-$1.50 as that is all the cd's cost to press (approximately)
The threat of losing that $50 you paid for the game plus access to your character is there as a deterrent to try and make cheaters/exploiters/griefers think twice about using them in the first place. Unfortunately Blizzard (and all other MMO's for that matter) underestimate the sheer idiocy of some members of the online community and darwin has been rendered mostly ineffective so the problem can no longer take care of itself.
Actually Leatherworkers can make a 16 slot bag, it's called a travellers pack or something, can't remember off hand but I know my character has 3 of them.
OR....instead of selling the 20 gb hard-drive for $100 they will sell a larger one than the standard 20GB, so that anyone who wants to buy the bigger HD right from the start pay $299 for the console and pick up the larger hard to go with it.
I was referring more to FPS's on PC as using a console controller to try and aim makes me want to commit sepukko (sp?). While I do like getting together with friends for a some console multiplayer (mostly racing) it's just a lot nicer not having to split the tv in half/quarters and having everyone squinting to try and make out whats happening on their piece of the screen.
And are you speaking from experience about the 12 year olds on Live, or just quoting what someone once said that one time somewhere on the internet?
If I want text-based adventure I'll just read a novel:)
Windows systems don't crash all the time, unless you fill them up with garbage. My system runs 24/7 and the only time I reboot is when I update drivers or install a program that requires a reboot. Time from restart to desktop 20 seconds. Haven't had any virus infections or spyware on my system in years and I don't have any virus scanning software on my system.
The OS works fine and is easy for the average end-user to use. The average end user is not your typical/. user, most of them are still deathly afraid of computers in general, and installing/configuring/using your average linux distro is so far beyond them it's not even funny.
Linux is getting easier and easier to use with every new update that comes out, but it is still a long way off in ease-of-use for the basic user. In truth, the Mac OS will probably be more of a threat to Windows in the short term with apple's move over to intel processors and that could help with windows app compatability on linux as well. We'll have to wait and see.
See here is where we see a fundimental difference in people's tastes. Personally I find the Romance of the 3 Kingdoms series games boring as hell, As for retro games they only keep my interest for about 5 minutes before I get over the nostalgia and realize they just aren't as good as I'd originally thought. Ditto for platformers (hence why I really have very little interest in anything Nintendo for the last 6 years).
I play games for very different reasons than I used to when I was younger. My tastes have changed.
I like immersive enviroments, decent stories and yes I do like good graphics to go along with it. I also like multiplayer, A.I. opponents give very little if any challenge to me so anything that has multiplayer where I can play against other actual people is a major plus. Nintendo continually misses the boat on this fact and Sony's hardly better. Say what you will about the Xbox in any other respect but they "get it" when it comes to multiplayer and this will be a huge advantage in the next-gen console wars.
Actually M$ is planning on relseasing the Xbox360 in NA and JP on the same day...possible in EU as well as I believe they are going for a worldwide release.
They are not screwing walmart or any parents over, the M rating should have been indication enough that the game is NOT FOR CHILDREN UNDER 17. The fact that they didn't properly remove a stupid tame sex minigame from the code does not change that fact.
The fact that Rockstar lied to the ESRB about the mini-game being in there, even though it was disabled is their only crime here. They are going to get burned for it, and rightfully so.
Any parent who bought this for a child who is under 17 years of age because they failed to take the time to read the rating is 100% completely responsible for the consequences of there ignorance....PERIOD, end of story, no excuses!!!
Well my question to you would be: "Why the hell are you letting your 13 year old play a game that's full of voilence/crime/drugs in the first place?"
The ratings system works just fine if the parents would take the time to pay attention to it. It's not like this is a hack for the latest pokemon game that turns it into a hentai porn fest, it's a hack for an already violent, M rated game that you're 13 year old shouldn't even be playing to begin with.
The fact that this little hidden mini-game was in an already M rated game shouldn't really have made any difference...especially considering how rediculous and harmless it really is. But Rockstar DID lie about it and as such deserve whatever consequences their actions bring about.
No child under the age of 10 should ever be given the amount of money required to buy a game without actually controlling where they spend it. If you're just gonna give a 10 year old $40 to go spend without knowing exactly what they are spending it on, please kindly remove yourself from the gene-pool you fucking retard.
Also, there are many ways to track what games your kids are playing and to control them. Make sure that the console is in the living room and not in the childs bedroom, that way you can keep better track of what they are playing much easier.
It really doesn't take much effort on the parents part.
Uh...FPS's that don't have an "auto-aim" option and/or hitboxes the size of freakin planets for one.
I'm sorry but you just can't get the same level of control in an fps with a gamepad as you can with a mouse. The keyboard part I believe could be but not the mouse.
Why is everyone saying that microsoft is behind these bundles? It's EB that has created them not MS.
Is the whole slashdot community really full clueless asshats?

Don't bother...it's not like anyone up here remembers them anyways.
Plus we actually know how to make good beer up here.

Pssst...nobody has dev kits for the nintendo revolution yet so it will be pretty hard to comment on how good/bad it is.
Really...you're a dev are you....what games have you helped make?
I'll believe these posts when someone has the balls to admit what game they made with proof to back up their claim.
Make it a class-action, I'm in
Uh...lord of the rings is one long story split up into 3 movies, just like the books, they are not sequels they are continuations.

Except nortel is a Canadian company.
Oh gee...sorry my bad, up here when I buy new games they cost $70-80 new. My price was off by $10 whiptyfrikindoo. My point still stands.

That movie title is far to normal for a sci-fi original. Plus it's not a cheap remake of a big summer movie from 2 years ago.

You're talking about the American Public here, don't count on it.
