Picking on one point...
Because if its made in america the salaries go to people who are superior humans?
Whats so great about "Made In America"?
Fuck karma.
Yeah, and I'd feel unsafe working with stupid alcoholics who drank at lunch and were then operating heavy equipment and dangerous tools...
What has this got to do with legalisation?
Surely its easy to tell if its renewable power coming over the cables?
Everyone knows renewable electrons are green.
I guess if it were diesel power they would be a sort of muddy brown.
I love it when slashdot heads into my field...
This isn't new (hardware autotune)

Do you realise how incredibly polished and "produced" a modern arena tour is?
Pretty sure the docs say you need 4, but I managed to get 2.4.20 onto a 2mb compaq luggable with a seriously minimised kernel. Dunno bout X but it was more than happy with BitchX.
Theres something pleasing about irc on mono screens.
If its got behringer written on it, its neither high end nor pro.
There stuff is used when every penny is counted or the quality really doesn't matter that much.
Of the games i've played, when you can actually control your character ( you think, turn left.. and instinctively you're turning left ) rather than fighting a control method are far superior.
Nothing is more infuriating than being unable to do something simple because of a input method... This is incredibly apparent in platformer sections in FPS games. You know you need to jump just/here/ and grab/now/ but the pirouttes you are attempting to perform with your fingers are the only difficulty.
hopefully HID advances are going to make this irrelevant.
In a similar and connected vein, albeit on an individual basis the protestor in london who wore webbing to look like a suicide bomber was met with the headline "nick him" by the Sun (which i would love to discount as not the general opinion).
Another straight and blatant response. We (e.g. the danish) hit them where they are sensitive and they do the same thing.
"Stallman couldn't be more wrong if he said whether Linux goes to GPLv3 is ultimately up to him"
I dont think the gp said what you thought he did.
or what the moderators thought he said.
you surely dont live in the uk?
$25 will cost £25
Seems to be the case with anything remotely cool, from consoles to lego. Im not sure if the idea is to make money or save on all that ever so difficult counting stuff.
Im currently studying a degree in audio system.
One of the first things we were given was a big list of terms (like "shiny") and actual accepted technical meanings for them..
After laughing for a half hour or so you realise audio (not just sound) is fundamentally objective... and words like this are neccessary.
its not about the fact that your individual details are any easier to snoop, its that once a method is found for snooping details it can drag in huge numbers of 'victims'. This makes the whole endeavour so much more appealing as a crime. You could never steal discarded carbon copies on such a scale.
Theres also a much bigger opportunity for anonymity on the part of the attacker.
well we could call them technology groups.
my lug talks as much about the stories on slashdot as linux in general..
A meeting place for like minded(ish) people.
What concievable reason is there for users to want this kinda of protection on a video standard? Eliza protection? feh.
Surely it just takes one manufacturer to develop something "clean" for a similar price and it'll be a preferable product.
HM.
and perhaps users to care...

Through add contact you can add notes or even create your own entry types...
Google doesnt seem about the organisation of groups, the grouping is through searching.
(if that makes any sense)
Lets get this straight, this company will sell you a product which might work, depending on the individual and you personally cant hear if its doing anything?
Its an empty box.
Teenagers of the world unite! lets start selling these things:)
If M$ *cannot* deliver Vista by September 1st, hardware vendors won't be able to ship their PCs with Vista on Christmas. In this case, I bet they will postpone their shipping date to late-January / mid-February 2006.
I was sure you were going to say "I bet they will postpone christmas to late-January / mid-February 2006.

Ermmm... You do know what people are actually editing audio on in the studios where the music you are listening to is created right?
If its got behringer written on it, its neither high end nor pro. There stuff is used when every penny is counted or the quality really doesn't matter that much.
colour changing paint??? number plate changer?? "Pursue the red VW with the jet engine sticking out the back!" "Cant see it, just a yellow one here"
