    bridging is three mouse clicks if you're using DD-WRT. QoS is also about three mouse clicks and some keystrokes. In short, everything is easier with DD-WRT than with Sveasoft's rather weak firmware.
    You might want to try it sometime.

    I had the displeasure of talking with my sister on Skype this week. Apparently Skype connections are made from some form of solid lag. I've heard better audio fidelity using tin cans and string.
    I'd rather pay 3 cents a minute on a phone card than suffer another fscking skype call.

    Put that in your pipe and smoke it, eBay.

    good news: no-CD cracks generally work, so you're not totally screwed. However performance under WINE is abysmal... I haven't tried Cedega yet, but one of the selling points is that it's pretty quick & updates are frequent.

    on newegg & the other online merchants, DDR2 is (today) actually cheaper than DDR. I nearly bought some until I noticed that it looked funny, & the pin count is a little high :)

    volume discounts & motherboards too, & chipsets. It's a pretty good reason to use Intel. AMD can't do such giant discounts, their margins are already much smaller than Intel's margin.

    have you ever noticed that piracy hasn't crushed the Windows platform on Intel? Seems pretty healthy, some have even called it a monopoly.
    Microsoft doesn't even pretend to be a hardware company, either.

    If anything, pirate copies of OSX are more likely to crush the Windows platform than anything else...

    Is that a bloated OS in your pocket or are you just happy to see me? Seriously, Bart's PE probably takes up 300MB. Double that for some fancyness in the full blown windows XP that MS ships.
    cut it down by a few hundred megs with nLite. Windows XP need only be 120 MB plus or minus.

    no, all it says is this:
    New clipboard management, based on the Freedesktop.org specification and tightly integrated with GNOME, allows for objects to persist in the clipboard longer than the lifetime of an application. This means that if you cut or copy an object and then exit that application, the item you put on the clipboard will remain until you replace it. The new clipboard manager is technically superior to existing implementations and integrates tightly with specially designed GTK+ APIs, allowing for a faster and more flexible clipboard implementation.

    The bloody X clipboard is separate from GNOME's clipboard, it's actually a "feature" of X. If they've got rid of it, that's a pretty cool achievement and a huge step in the right direction.

    My MSI Neo4-F Platinum is overclocked by default to 8MHz over, and it has never crashed. Same with my Neo4-F board, they just keep on ticking.
    Overclocking doesn't decrease stability or hardware durability unless you run it too hot. Try cooling your hardware better if it crashes from overclocking.
