I believe the PP said that he only used cookies to fill in usernames, not passwords. I should hope that if someone can go through an anti-cookie phase, they are smart enough to not save passwords in cookies.
People can die with computer systems too. I forget the name of it, but it was a long while ago. This computer with some sort of embedded hardware was in charge of administering dosages of medicene to cancer patients, and on one strange race condition, it would administer the wrong amount, causing the patient to die. I think about 5 people died before it was found out.
You haven't seen 50 GB USB drives?? Really, thats strange, because I have seen 50 GB USB drives, even sizes up to 250 GB. Granted they are external hard drives, but its still the same format as a USB Flash drive.
I've had my PS2 last since I bought it in 01, and the original playstation that me and my brother have still works as well. I also have a miniDisc player tahts about 3 or 4 years old, and dented like crazy, but it still plays like a champ.
The global music body said the rise in legal downloads was proof its policy of pursuing file-sharers was working. No, it's not proof that pursuing file-sharers is working, it could be proof that legal download services are working, or a combination of the two. Way to be extremely narrow-minded. BTW, that was from a Q&A linked near the bottom.
In the original, the point of the games was to re-create the stars and constellations in the sky, because your father, the king of all cosmos, got drunk and destroyed them one night. You do this by rolling around this sticky ball, a katamari, until it gets to a certain size.
well then, its really not completely idle then is it. Especially considering you have Azureus open. Java handling large files for long periods of time.....**shudders**
Also from Apple: How You Win. Winners will be determined by the order of the Entries received. One (1) iPod mini/50-song card Prize will be awarded for each Entry sent immediately following the 480,099,999th song downloaded, until iTunes reaches its 500 millionth Entry (i.e., one (1) iPod mini/50-song card Prize will be given away for the 480,100,000th Entry, 480,200,000th Entry,... 499,900,000th Entry).
So it only starts giving away once it hits 481 million songs. This amounts to 199 (for each 100K) + 10 (for the grand prize).
This logic is flawed in two ways. One already pointed out about getting the company to pay for it first, via a corporate card or money from the petty cash fund, or simply withdraw the money from an ATM. Neither would require you to disclose your personal passwords on the company LAN. Second, its against an sane company's policy for the for the network admin to review the keylogging information and then use that information for illegal purpose, eg identity theft.
Nice, reference two OLD games, and link reviews, and that suddenly leads to the fact that no one wants to play religious themed games? Also, about people being embarassed about attending services, I don't know where you came up with that idea.
A quick search on google shows at least comcast does have some sort of limit on 'net usage. This shouldn't be surprising though, comcast has always had shitty service. As for your modem getting clobbered, a friend of mine has the same problem wrt bittorrent. It turns out, his cabe modem has some sort of built in limit on how many connections it can handle at once, and sense BT usually connects to ALOT of peers, that could be making it poop out.
It's not as if the jobs those farmer-teens are doing is worth mentioning in their next job interview.
That reminds me of something I read on a diablo 2 website once. When the ladders got reset at some point, this one guy was like number 3 or 4 in the ladder after it stabalized, and actually put that on his resume. It landed him a couple interviews at least, I don't remember if one of those led to a job though. The companies were game companies that recognized the amount of effort it took to do that.
I have to sort of agree with you there, except on a few issues, but mostly they are pure opinion. One thing I have never gotten, is the whole "beautifully designed" thing, the mac mini is simply a silver square box with a white top. How is that beautiful? Granted, its MUCH smaller, but the design isn't something I would crap my pants over. For god sake, the power button is on the back side, making it so inaccessable if you stash the computer away. Also, I kind of prefer to hear my computer work, so I know its running and not just sitting there and doing anything. Also, they ship out with insufficient RAM IMHO. But in general, I agree with the whole, Dell = crap, Apple != crap, but thats why Apple costs more.
Best. Free. Game. EVER. Been playing it for going on three years now
No, it claims that a good percentage of the 23 inch displays are pink. Go back and re-read.

and by client, I clearly meant server
Besides some extra money, I believe Home edition can't run terminal services client. So....not that big of a difference

Its all fun and games until someone loses an eye... then its just fun. Nope, then it's just a game to find the eye..
While I agree with your post, don't use the word "Irregardless" It's a spawn of other words, use regardless instead
I think being able to make shit up and get away with it shouldn't be a nice thing, its fucking scary.

I know this is somewhat of a joke, but seriously, what do you have that makes 10% cpu usage on idle? Mine varies from 2-4 percent.
don't you mean Digital Versatile Disc? Seeing as you can put more than just video on a dvd.
Wrong. See my other post and associated correction
And by 481 million, I clearly mean 480,100,000

Actually, from the second link in the review, it seems that the default action was changed on March 31st.
