Are neoliberals inherantly more or less likely to create propoganda than neoconservatives? I can't see why any one particualar economic or political belief is going to use propoganda more than the other. Seeing that the political scale is somewhat, well... one dimensional and just plain oversimplifies the matter. You'd probably need more dimension's than string theory has in order to properly map someone's personal beliefs.
Hrm... have I diverged somewhat from the point? I can't remember anymore.
I've had a couple of spam emails claiming to be offering kiddie porn... but I'm not even going to risk opening them up. Both because I don't want to go to prison and because I don't want to see it if it is actually real. I assume that with spam they must be aware of it, as by spam's very nature alot of people get it. The problem is that by tracing the emails back to their source all they're likely to get is some poor zombied sod's computer who will then have a damn hard time proving that he wasn't distributing child porn, whilst his marriage and family go down the tubes as a result of the x number of years that the investigation takes.
And apart from that who the hell would be stupid enough to actually purchase or subscribe (I don't know what the hell they do) to child porn from a spam email?
I mean... who writes this crap? It just makes me so angry at how they are just plain lying to the public. Oh, yes poor Telecom companies I feel so sorry for you that the multi-billion-dollar Silicon Valley companies are in a massive conspiracy against you and the end-user. Not that you're also multi-billion-dollar companies, or that you've got an almost exclusive monopoly or that you've been known within the tech community for abusing that monopoly.
Its not even that the victor writes history in this case, its just the company with the better PR or more money that writes the future. =/
Alot of Brits find American accents irritating. We'd probably watch shows with an American narrator less than if it had a European accent. Although I don't know many, if any, Brits who find the Aussie accent annoying I quite like it. So its not as much non-British accents but more the American accent, I don't know what it is really but we seem to find it somewhat grating. Sorry about that old chap.
I'd be most worried about the combination of those massive blindspots and the unshielded cable. Would it really be beyond someone who wanted to get information to secrete information gathering equipment on the ship after gaining access through those blindspots? Especially if the rank and file coastguard are under the impression that their ship is under full surveillance. I mean seriously... yeah he is paranoid but when it comes to security it pays to be a little paranoid. Is saving the extra few pence (cents, whatever I'm British) in purchasing unshielded cables really worth even a highly unlikely potential security risk.
No. Its a website full of how people think songs are played. If they can prove that these tabs are taken from an official tab book then they may have a case.
Are you the CEO of a large corporation, or part of a large meta-corporation (RIAA etc...)? No? Then your opinion on the matter is irrelevant unfortunately.
This has to be the holy grail of American lobbying... it appeals to both the "Won't somebody please think of the children!" crowd and the "If we don't pass this law... the terrorists win!" crowd.
Its exactly the same in the UK, the same people who complain about politics not representing their views then go and vote for either the Conservatives or Labour. Hello! Wake up people, you're the root of the freaking problem.
The Aussies seemed to do quite well in the first half... They were certainly stopping Brazil do many of their normal technical flourishes. Whenever one of them got the ball they would be jumped by at least two Aussies.
I'm glad someone posted this. I was just about to.
It seems that its a good way of reducing car use as well as being incredibly convenient, instead of having loads of mums (and a few dads) driving to and from Tesco/Sainsburys/etc... every week, just have a few delivery vans that cover a relatively large area. I'm personally surprised that this doesn't already happen in every U.S city, not just New York.
Indeed... I've never had much respect for the Lords up until their recent resistance to Labour's insane new ideas, their "Anti-Terror" laws and ID cards, they may not be elected but at least they're upholding what is atm the general will of the public when our democraticaly elected government won't.
Definitely the original Deus Ex... I'm playing it through for a second time at the moment, and am continually amazed at how different it is to the first time that I played it, as I'm trying to explore alot more this time round. I was deepyly disappointed with the sequel, poor show chaps.
Apart from Deus Ex... only the Baldurs Gate series (kinda trilogy I guess... not sure if you can count Throne of Bhaal as the third game really) has got me to play a game more than once through. Most games don't even reach one play through with me.
I was incredibly surprised that that Act still exists. I'd never even heard of it until about half a year ago, in all my secondary education I have not once had a 'collective worship', if I was told to I would simply walk out. As would most of my friends.
I dunno why this law still exists even, its completely out of character for the Britain that I see today, and if most schools ignore it as do Ofsted inspectors, it seems, then it should be gotten rid of.
The fact that it took them this long to realise about this 'internet radio' thingy shows exactly why they're fighting a losing battle at the moment. They're still about 5 years behind everyone else technology wise... maybe one day they'll catch up and get some fucking sense then they might be able to turn technology into a business model that doesn't assfuck consumer rights.

What. The. Fuck?

Well, at least Prog Rock/Metal will be alright then.
Yes, but there quite a large difference between bared breasts & 'regular' sex and hardcore/fetish/beastiality/etc... porn.
Below the voting age.
Next general election I most certainly won't be voting for New Labour...
This has to be the holy grail of American lobbying... it appeals to both the "Won't somebody please think of the children!" crowd and the "If we don't pass this law... the terrorists win!" crowd.
Bravo!
Thank you!

For some reason your post came out in an Irish accent in my head.
I'm not entirely sure why....
So... we get your data too, right?
Right...?
Well... At least the BBC represents the British public even if our government won't.

In fact the House of Lords seem to have been putting a relatively stalwart effort into resisting Blair's Anti-Freedom laws.
Uh, they didn't kill them afaik.
And no, before someone flames me that doesn't make it ok I was just pointing out the AC's error.

If you're talking about the queen, then it doesn't really matter. Our royalty is nothing more than an expensive tourist attraction tbh.
Or it'll teach your children to get around filters and web browsing history/cache. :)
