    It's not hard to develop a self guided vehicle in a controled environment. The real deal is to make it work on every street. I'm currently working in developing a program that tries to detect obstacles in different environments and i say that it's very difficult to make it work in every possible situation.

    The breakdown in axial symmetry probably is from the turbulence due to low viscosity of water and it's iteraction with air. Turbulence is still today a very unknown effect.
