Yeah, well done. That is not ironic at all. Maybe if the creator of the original, was nor complaining that the current game is too cartoonish, that would be ironic. But the fact that the people who are whinging now are too young to have played the original... that is just a fact, there is no real word for that.
I think you came down pretty harsh, which is to be expected from a parent. But maybe becoming emotional about this subject is not the right way to go about it, no matter how hard it is to distance yourself from a 12 year old child drowning.
How else could this money be spent, how many more people could this money save? Does your society only extend to the UK?
These are important questions, and a price needs to be established.
You want a Motorola E1000 - accepts transflash card, has a stereo headphone jack, plays mp3s(as well as movies- and records them, 1.2mpixel camera)

Hah, what a joke. I moved to Edinburgh from Australia, you try to paying rent here for a while. 300 pounds to share a two bedroom apartment, in a shitty building. Plus 100 pounds council tax every bloody month.
Of course, everything else you say I agree with, but don't talk about Oz being expensive.
Here, here. I use firefox a lot, but the fact it pauses all the time, uses up more resources than anything else i run at work ( and i run photoshop), has trouble with downloading so often wishes I could go back to opera.
John
I was ripped of by ebay, because of a scammer. Apparently some had "hacked" someone elses account and bought a whole bunch of expensively priced items, including a bike i was trying to sell. So I never received any money for this, and still have the bike, but ebay still decided to take their pound of flesh. And since I didn't respond in time, I can't get the money back! Dirty dogs...
Maybe it is about time that people realise that it is not only important how many people agree with something, but what the actuall questions asked is.
I think the point maybe that it is not just up to one company to change the world, it would take a lot more, and industry shift. And the fact is, a lot of companies won't see the value in this until it is too late, or aren't in a position at the moment to do any funding of projects.
That is why they should do what the old Leisure Suit Larry games did, and ask you to prove your age by answering some questions that only an adult would know!
Come on, there is nothing wrong with a Juicy rumour. And say what you like, I thought the last ipod discussion minutes ago was actually one of the more interesting reads of late. Lots of people talking about why it would work, and why it wouldn't. It actually got me thinking about it a lot, something I wouldn't usually spurn a thought over. And I don't even like macs, don't own an ipod.
But if it automatically downloaded content overnight for you to view on the journey to work, I think it will find a place.
Bit worried about it, since the title of this story mentions Independence day, surely the worst sci-fi ever made (and I am including Battlefield Earth)

I agree with you 100%, except for the fact that I older versions of acrobat can't read newer pdfs. So, what can you do?

Damn you, now I have to switch back to Opera. Haven't used it for a few years, but loved it then.
Good point, well made!
Knowing what's in one's cupboards might be useful.
You know, getting of your arse and having a look every now and again can't hurt?

Bob, you're fired!!! Ha, ha, just kidding. Boss
I avoid having drinks because the last thing I want is
I should think the last thing you want is to have your head blown of, and your brains scattered about the theatre, in front of your whole family.
But maybe, just maybe, I have seen to many movies...

Yes, I wish someone would tell me how to spell Leibniz.

I've noticed my girlfriend encourages me to pursue my hobbies, but...
Congratulations, you have now turned into an old woman. Please leave your balls at the nearest store.

Damn RBS, that used to really annoy me how they ask for 1st, 2nd and 6th digits, but I understand why they do it.

Wow, congratulations, life is just so black and white for you... Can I come and live in your world?

"As Firefox moves swiftly towards 1.1 and Internet Explorer keeps trundling towards IE7..."
I thought that it was Firefox crawling like a dead snail towards 1.1 and IE flying at the speed of light towards IE7...
talk about bias in journalism!

See, should'nt AMD write their own compiler anyway. Surely they are the best people to write optimized code for their processors.
Sure, how long has macrovision been around for?
