    Create a new crime of life imprisonment for using pirated software. Anyone using counterfeit products who "recklessly causes or attempts to cause death" can be imprisoned for life. During a conference call, Justice Department officials gave the example of a hospital using pirated software instead of paying for it.

    I'm fairly certain that the human race would be in no danger of under populating, if same sex marriages/ civil unions, were legal. Or for that matter if marriage were abolished altogether, we still wouldn't have that problem. People have been having babies much longer than the idea of marriage has been around.

    I just got an email from Microsoft support. This was included:

This will ensure our support e-mail reaches you in a timely m anner and prevent it from being moved to your junk mail folder.

    Apparently a lot of people block @microsoft.com entirely.

    Rome is getting a second season at least.
    HBO has renewed its epic drama series ROME for a second season, it was announced today [09.12.2005] by Carolyn Strauss, president, HBO Entertainment. Production of the 12-episode second season will begin next March, with the debut set for 2007.
    We just have to wait a while for it.

    Neither article mentions banning computer use, just internet access.

    FTFA: It also warned that if Microsoft failed to provide the necessary information by 25 January, the daily fines would be backdated to 15 December 2005.
    That starts out with a $105 Million fine. That will be noticed.

    Yes they did look at games.

    FTFA: To illustrate the degree to which video games have become more violent, more sexual, and more crude we compared six M-rated games representative of those featured in report cards during the late 1990s to six M-rated games from 2004.

    With such a large sample size, I can see how they have conclusive proof that the ESRB is not doing their job.
