What worries me is that these damn things won't be able to "see and avoid" other VFR aircraft. Privacy is all well and good but you won't have any privacy when a Cessna 182 comes crashing through your roof because one of these things ran into it.
They can only pump so many Mbps through that tube. Think how many more people have that 4-5 Mbps speed. Had they not been upgrading you would be able to carry the data fater in a cart.
Of course they aren't mutually exclusive. What I meant is that we all aren't to going to become algae farmers. To do so we would have to take a big step backwards in the social evolutionary chain.
How is this any different than the hundreds if not thousands of local and county law enforcement agencies that post all booking info with photos on their website.
An arrest, guilty or not, is public record and have been reported for, well, pretty much ever.
With very few exception the people that write for the media these days aren't journalists. At best they are writers that ask a few questions now an then. They no longer have the know how to put a story together and investigate in even the slightest. If a story doesn't come to them prepackaged it doesn't get covered.
This is why they get so upset and act like a cover up has occurred when a story breaks and they haven't already been told about it at a White house press conference. They assume it is someones job to tell them about everything that happens.
With an about a 50/50 mix of books that were it not for the Kindle I saved the cost of the Kindle in less than one year. The savings came from shipping costs and reduced costs for the books. Admittedly I was ordering almost all of my pre-Kindle books from Amazon.
I've long thought they could really save some money if they only delivered mail every other day. I'd be more than happy to only receive both home an business mail on odd or even days. With no Saturday delivery at all.
And if you really need your mail every day get a PO box.
What makes you think the grinding to a halt will have any effect? These aren't in most airports and even where they are and I haven't seen that much backlash or grinding to a halt.
They haven't raised the price because it has been made up in volume. How many copies of that $99 version of Windows sold as compared with Windows 7?
Any thing else with that sort of volume increase would be selling for $9.95 now.

While you might be right I'd like to see how this qualifies as either.
Except the batteries, of course.
By that measure we should ban everything that has electronics built in. Phones, iPods, laptops.
"Fall down and miss" is orbital dynamics at is most basic.

DIY, No. Commercial maybe.
It sounds like very large cats be raped with very large baseball bats.
Sounds like a great place for the FBI and every other nation's federal law enforcement bodies set up and find out who the a-holes are.

You can mark-up and make far more notes on a Kindle than you could in most paper books.
Digital ready TVs don't need the box. If they are on the wall I would assume that at least some of them are newer digital TVs.
And they do have a small, channel limited box.

How many LucasFilms lawyers are thinging about sueing?
You just lost Karma.

I'm really surprised that 12% actually read the TOS enough to opt out of the soul ownership clause. I would have expected a much lower number.
Joke's on them - I use Dvorak!
I think that pretty much guarantees we will be seeing you on 20/20 some day.

How much are those going to cost to replace when a rock chips them?
I just don't think that technology that will cost that much should be on a device that is called a windSHIELD for a reason.
