  1. Screw the privacy concerns. on Domestic Use of Aerial Drones By Law Enforcement · · Score: 1

What worries me is that these damn things won't be able to "see and avoid" other VFR aircraft. Privacy is all well and good but you won't have any privacy when a Cessna 182 comes crashing through your roof because one of these things ran into it.

How is this any different than the hundreds if not thousands of local and county law enforcement agencies that post all booking info with photos on their website.

An arrest, guilty or not, is public record and have been reported for, well, pretty much ever.

  12. They aren't Journalists on Pay-Per-View Journalism Is Burning Out Reporters Young · · Score: 1

With very few exception the people that write for the media these days aren't journalists. At best they are writers that ask a few questions now an then. They no longer have the know how to put a story together and investigate in even the slightest. If a story doesn't come to them prepackaged it doesn't get covered.

This is why they get so upset and act like a cover up has occurred when a story breaks and they haven't already been told about it at a White house press conference. They assume it is someones job to tell them about everything that happens.
