    The only purpose of OS is to serve end-users! Yes, through the applications in the client environment, and through the serving (or storing) correct data as a server OS.

    If OS is made for the user, it has to be usable by the user, and has to be strong enough to withstand all the abuse that the user would naturally through at it!

    The solar plants could fight global warming not by just reducing the need for the "dirty" energy production, but, given that enough solar-absorbing panels are deployed throughout the world, they would absorb enough solar heat to cool down the atmosphere.

    Oh-oh! Could this be a bad thing? Very cold Earth, all covered in solar panels?

    With lots of national banks being registered in Utah (American Express comes to mind), how does it affect them? Are they now prohibited from advertising online using keywords? Yeah, Amex is really going to love that!
    On the other hand, I wonder if Amex was one of the companies who "sponsored" this moronic bull, in attempt to curb competition in search results when searching "american express" returns www.discovercard.com?

    It used to take about an hour to strip all the pre-installed crap from the new boxes. I ended up writing couple of "silent uninstall" scripts to take care of some most common pests. Still have to uninstall some of them manually though.
