Apple spent much effort in making the Mac Pro power efficient, drawing at most 450W. And, I would guess far less on average. If you're paying about 11 cents, per kWh and using it 8 hours a day, at most it's going to cost you about $144. With all the fans and other things in a typical PC, I have to imagine that it would be possible to double or triple the annual power consumption costs of the Mac Pro.
"Now businesses can run Microsoft Outlook on Google Apps instead of Microsoft Exchange, so they can achieve the cost savings, security and reliability of Google Apps while employees use the interface they prefer for email, contacts and calendar."

You just have to cough-up some cash for the Premier Edition.
Once again, I would like to point to McNealy's Law, which states that you have zero privacy and to get over it. The FBI has done this in the past and will likely continue this type of activity.
The first I heard about this was by a Google tech talk with Luis von Ahn. That was in July; the video is very interesting. The talk is mainly about tagging images as a game.
When using the simplest of models, I get nothing but junk coming out of Analysis Server. I am sure there is something that it will find. I just have not found it yet. This is with sales, time and products as the dimensions.
I would like
* a built-in carwash
* instant hot water everwhere.
* a washing machine that can wash lots of clothes,
and does not mix colors with the whites, and dry
them too.
I cannot think of a java application that I have used that has not been ugly. The UI people often do not make the best programmers and the programmers often suck at designing good UI. And, WHY THE FUCK CANT YOU COMPILE JAVA INTO AN EXE?
If you were to ask most people, I would wonder how many of them even realize the crazy computer company with the cow boxes was still in business. Maybe GW2K or whatever they want to call themselves should start putting other brands from the past on to crappy computers. Something like what GM has done. Instead of Buicks we could have Commodore, Compuadd, E-Machines, Intellivision, Sinclair, or any other defunct company. While on the subject of defunct companies, how many of these have Gateway purchased?
I personally find patterns one-step away from being useless. They are almost by design so generic as to be applicable to everything that they are appropriate for nothing.

Here is a story about dot matrix printers. And, the number one ranked comment was from a guy named matticus, who writes about Ode to Joy with his scanjet. Here is another link too someone elses easter egg.
The google pack seems to be distributing old software. The Antivirus software is out of date, as is adaware, and google earth. This is something that should be fixed soon. Maybe this is why the google pack is still in beta.

If I had a time machine that could take me back to 1899, I don't think my newly acquired smarts would help me in getting into Harvard. Oh well. -Josh

Or perhaps player pianos?
Would the placement of gears, within a clock, count as code?
I got you beat, try 2005. http://science.slashdot.org/article.pl?no_d2=1&sid=05/04/22/0228226
Or maybe I missed something. I must say that my math strategy has a been more of a guess-and-check-and-guess type of proposition.
Nice Pancake, I think that you missed something.

A while ago, these guys came to google to give a techtalk. Here it is: http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=7996617766 640098677

640x480 should be good enough for anyone.
I would want to be sure that I was protected from any w32/*fucks*(hard drive|registry|media) virus, as a first step.
I wish that the topic allowed television guys like Mr. Wizard, Don Herbert.
