  1. Global Warming on Americans Gearing up to Fight Global Warming · · Score: 1

Even if we do all of these things to reduce emissions, we are still going to see the world getting warmer.

Why? I will use small words so the blind and stupid liberals, green freaks, and chicken littles can under stand:

WE ARE COMING OUT OF A MINI ICE AGE.

This has been happening for centuries. Long before the start of the Industrial Revolution the mean temperature has been raising.

I will now get off my soapbox, and prepare for the slings and arrows of fools.

I agree and disagree. If an artist is being paid to create art, then the art belongs to the person forking over the money. A wedding photographer is no different than a Rennaisance artist who worked for a patron. A photographer who takes pictures on his or her own time and tries to sell the rights to show them is still the owner of the art work.

On the other hand, someone who builds you a house to your design is a craftsman, not an artist. Even if the house is from the builders design, they are working for a patron, like the fore mentioned Rennaisance artist.

Most these people would dump the parts of their culture that sent them packing, and kept the parts that they took with them: food, music, art. It's only lately that the parts of cultures that caused problems are being imposed on the US by the immagrants.

Now, if we had a permanent base on the moon, with a sub-station on the dark side, we could put a Hubble like device in orbit of the Moon (or teathered to the Moon) with a crew that could easily go to the new Hubble and fix it. The graivty well of the Moon is much shallower so going up to fix the device is easier. Or just (gently) yank on the teather to bring it down for repair, then gently boost it back into orbit.
