Once you understand the Islamic Doctrine of Abrogation (later verses replace earlier verses of the Koran) then you will see that Koran 9:29 is the only verse that really matters to non-Muslims.
This is like a buddhist telling you what the bible says you think, because he studied one too.
It is like buddhist telling you what the bible says you think, because he studied one too and there are hundreds of thousands of Christians saying and acting on the same interpretation. Yes you might think that Mary Madeline was Jesus's wife... or that Islam is the religion of peace... but this goes against mainstream thinking and interpretation.
The fact that it doesn't have a picture or name of the "French man" makes me suspect that this "french man" is in fact a Muslim and hates liberty, fraternity, and equality and everything that France stands for. This being the case getting another one off the streets is a good thing.
We have a big beautiful firewall. That's goin to block websites. Because websites have drugs, pornography, crime... and some I believe may be good sites.
From the 1930s Keynes predicted a 15 hour working week. In the 60s and 70s a three day weekend was predicted. What actually happens is that some people have to work harder than ever for fear of losing their jobs while others have no work and live in poverty.
The test is whether Musk would be willing to pay a significantly higher corporation tax to fund the basic income.
. Two years after article 50 of the Lisbon treaty has been invoked, the UK will be out of the EU anyways, even if no "exit deal" is reached. That's what article 50 says.
I am against Brexit, but in the interest of democracy it would be wrong for parliament to reverse a vote on the exact same question as was put to parliament. I agree that it should go to parliament, we can do without ancient devices like the PM using royal prerogative to bypass parliament, but the only reasonable direction for the English, Welsh, and Northern Irish MPs would be to vote in favour.
However after an agreement is reached there should be another vote. People voting for and against Brexit did so for different reasons, sometimes contradictory. For example I know some people who wanted reduction of all immigration to very low figures, and others who though that a level playing-field with the same level of immigration would mean that they could bring in curry chefs from Mumbai rather than having to take on and train Polish chefs. Once there is a concrete proposal then MPs should be able to vote for or against it, or maybe even have a second referendum. After all if most people would disagree with a proposal then it's diffcult to argue that pushing it through is the most democratic course of action.
You do realise some of the practises mentioned there are also illegal under UK employment law, right?
The only one that could be illegal would be "Drivers will be ranked by productivity, with the least productive being fired". Obviously in ranking someone must be bottom, but providing that the lowest are performing adequately then it could be unfair dismissal.
There would be limits on some of the others, for example on driving hours and "how they must do their work" couldn't include any instructions contravening law (i.e. no rules like "must speed, must use a mobile device while driving"), but I don't think any are intrinsically illegal.
In fact something of value would be gained, the principle that you can't circumvent laws on hours, holiday pay, maternity pay, redundancy pay simply by saying that someone is a self-employed contractor. It doesn't matter whether Uber stay or go
I would think that some will actually be very few. I'm a Linux fan, but I think it will only attract the very few technically aware MacBook users. Though getting better, Linux is does not match the "everything works" Apple philosophy, i.e. you buy a graphics tablet or whatever, plug it in and all your apps will work with it straight off.
Is it just an American thing, the assumption that wealth and class are the same? In the UK we have working class billionaires and a lot of financially struggeling members of the middle classes

Don't you think that people have had enough of experts?
A better headline would have been "Volkswagen incites the Wrath of Khan"
Apart from the Porsche's 918 Spyder which managed managed 0-60 in 2.2 seconds in independent tests.
Let's hope Argentina don't read this.....Goodbye Falklands...

Well he did say "This will be Brexit Plus Plus Plus"
I think we should do this right after everyone in the world learns Esperanto and we adopt base 12 counting.
Easy to root for, as a citizen of Greenwich, England, where no changes will be made.
Not quite, we'd have to ditch British Summer Time. We are only on UTC in the winter months

That's not what law professors told the House of Lords, or the person responsible for drafting the article think.

"Inerieted"? That's an odd word. Did the writer perhaps mean to type "inebriated"?
I suspect they meant "inherited".
But they probably were inebriated
