When you open-source your project and set up no restrictions to distribution, why would you expect to get money when somebody gives it to somebody else?
Apple's dumping PortalPlayer? This can mean only one thing: The regular MacBooks are being announced this Tuesday! And from this information, we can also see that they will have 1.66ghz Core Duos and 13.3 inch screens!!!!1!!1!!1!!11!!!one!!!!1!
The reason uncanny valley exists is because nobody cares about emotion, only likeness. If you compare most current games to Ocarina of Time, Link looks the most human, (well, Hylian) because he has human emotions. The guys in the other games look like blow-up dolls. Nintendo jumped ahead, creating "uncanny mountain" with Ocarina of Time, making characters amazingly realistic with very limited graphics capabilities.
What it means is that Nintendo is being extremely innovative with the Rev, and they are very good at innovating successfully. Take the DS, for example. It's innovative, and it is/was successful.
Not only that, but the fact that Nintendo is aiming at a younger audience means we get more "blue sky games" than other systems. There is this "blue sky in games" campaign saying that we don't want realistic gang war games which show off the ugliness of our larger cities, but we want games with lots of blue and red things in them, that make us feel happy when we play them. Being with Ninty means we will get more happy games than the competition.

I downloaded the 10-day trial for this game. I found it to be quite a bit of fun, except for the fact that the tutorial wouldn't realize I had done what it asked, until I quit the game and went back in. I walked up to the medical droid, and nothing happened. I entered the Falcon, and nothing happened. I destroyed all the TIE fighters, and nothing happened. All of these things were instructions from the tutorial. How can we be expected to pay a subscription fee for such a broken game?
Of course, they're the only ones who understand that if you want to make a profit, you have to sell something for more than you bought it. If I buy a banana for a dollar, and sell it to your for half a dollar, I lost money. It doesn't matter how many accesories and games I sell you for that banana, I still lost money on the banana itself. What's the point?
Hate to break it to you... but Tomb Raider still is just a gimick, the style of gameplay was done before, its just the boobies and the marketing that made it a sucess.

I'd rather have Nintendo be the only developer for the Rev than have EA, Epic, or any other company make all their best games for the Revolution. In fact, I wouldn't mind if Ninty and Namco were the only developers for the Revolution. Gotta have Namco.
Even more interesting is the connectivity between the two. In the current generation, all we saw was a GBA controlling the GameCube. That's just one extra screen. Now, we'll have three screens, one of them will be a touch screen, and one of them will have the normal Rev control. Now that's really innovative. (But how would one hold both a DS and a Controller?
Idea! An attachment simply connecting the Rev's controller to the bottom of a DS, giving you the pointing and touching! There are so many awesome ideas here...
But in no way should you get Monkey Ball 2 over Smash. Once you're better than your 15 Cube owning friends but one, and you are just about as good as that one, you see the real gem that Smash is. There is no way to understand the fun of Yoshi and Mario on a team defeating two level nine CPU players, then having several one on one matches, the outcome being a tie. I am a Super Smash Bros. Melee veteran, and I truly say it is the best multiplayer game in existance.
P.S. Don't think I suck. I can defeat far more than a level nine, but when playing with a friend that's the best I can fight.
I don't think that the "fantasy convention" thing is kind of out the window. Most of the names I see in MMOGs have nothing to do with fantasy. You do have a point with the prefixes, but unless CmdrTaco's name was changed because of that, I see no reason why he should have had his name removed.
I have an old Sanyo dual mode phone, with a monochrome screen for extra battery life. I'll sell it to you for as much as a RAZR costs, and you can pretend that you're just ignoring the features.
You can still download new maps of Live, but you need to buy a memory card (surely expensive) for that. Of course, you need the memory card to save your games too.

I suggest that you move your head back a few inches. If you're trying to read 8 point fonts, then of course the edges will be rough.
Intel=Nintendo.
Sony=AMD
Intel rules the portable markets, just as Nintendo does.
AMD rules the desktop markets, just as Sony rules the consoles.

Yes, but they're generally crap. No offense, but Nintendo and Namco are the only really good ones.

MS lost four billion? Oh well, I guess they'll have to wait a few more years before aquiring all of western Europe.

You should play Advance Wars, and the DS hasn't maxed out. Even better games like Mario Kart DS are showing up, and the games are just getting better.
I read this on a forum several days ago.
In XP you can edit a registry setting to make the BSOD any color you want! Could we still do this in Vista? I want my Tangerine Screen of Death!

such as fancy 3D graphics cards or optical mice Ball mice use 100mw. Optical mice use 120mw. CPUs use 20 watts. Why don't we all just use 486s?
Memory sticks cost nearly twice as much as CompactFlash or SD cards.
I think that the range of WiFi that we have right now is good enough. 100 meters? Stop complaining.
