Well yes, it is like comparing apples and oranges, but in the sense that the question is "Which makes the better apple pie?" Obviously, apples. But, someone may come around and say "I don't like apple pie. I prefer orange juice."
The underlying question is "Which creates the better TV viewing experience?" At face value, the details of the underlying technology shouldn't matter but, as we see, different people have different definitions of what makes a TV viewing experience "better."
For the first time in a while, I wished I had mod points. What the parent says is spot on. I have experience with The New Interpreters's Study Bible, having been a former United Methodist seminarian, at a time when all my classmates and profs were fairly giddy with the release of each new installment. I generally use a NRSV study bible for my own personal use and I hear The Message every week in the church I work at (as music director).
An interesting note about translations. If you compare the language of the NRSV and the NIV, you'll see they are very nearly identical. Where they differ is in the footnotes and annotations in the study versions of these translations. The NRSV study bibles are generally very scholastic, while the NIV study bibles have a clear evangelical bent.
I'm not convinced he was speaking of Nazis. Mainly those people who were merely complacent while the Nazis took took more and more control. It could be just the loophole the GP needs to avoid Godwin's Law.
My Yahoo! email address IS my throwaway email address. It's so full of spam that the only time I use it is to register for places I don't want knowing my real email.
What I remember from the English theme song was that he came from "a million miles away." I used to think,"well, that's just somewhere roughly four times as far away as the moon! What's there?"
Thanks to Troy Bolton and Gabriella Montez. This whole tri-lambda hatin' on the Alpha Betas and vice versa just doesn't work. They showed us that we're all in this together and if jocks want to sing or bake, or if the nerds want to get down to hip hop, or skaters dudes want to play the cello...we gotta be there for them! This whole new outlook could be the start of something new. Get your head in the game! It doesn't just apply to the basketball court anymore...
I can back most of that up, living in the United States but, (Yowzers!) where do you live that ground beef costs $10/lb.? In my little corner of the country it's more like $3.00.
Green bug-eyed monster #1: 'Sombody just shot us, dog!' Green bug-eyed monster #2: 'WTF?' Green bug-eyed monster #1: 'Oh wait. Get this it's a "laserrrr!"' Green bug-eyed monster #2: 'No f***in' way!' Green bug-eyed monster #1: 'Hang on, I'll crank up the Floyd!' Green bug-eyed monster #2: 'Groovy.'
I just watched that recently. It was a pretty good flick, but I had to watch it over a period of a couple days. Not that I can't sit still for a movie that long, but the only time I have for movies is late at night and I didn't want to stay up. Must be getting old.
Not if the melon was going slow enough.;-) Seriously though, he was more like the flat end of a thumbtack. He had his arms outstreched as far as they would go and still hold on to the nose of the plane. Also he spent a lot of time gradually slowing down the plane from there. Even at the crawling speeds it was still travelling when his feet hit the ground it buckled and crunched up a bit. Was it totally realistic? That's a stupid question really, we're talking Superman here, but it was a damn sight better than a good number of rescues Superman's been shown doing.
Well... It wasn't like a full sized continent or anything. More of an island, and to the film maker's credit it was falling apart around him. I never had the impression that it reached anything like Luthor's envisioned size.
Well, spoilers for anyone who hasn't seen the Superman movies.
This was one area where Superman Returns impressed me. There's a plane falling from the sky uncontrollably and Superman grabs onto the end of the wing, sure enough, the wing breaks off. Saving the plane, while not destroying it and killing everyone on board was a real mental exercise for Superman. Contrast that to Superman III (From Office Space fame), where Superman is able to hold a sheet of ice as large around as a lake with his fingers by the edge.
I originally got it from a website about airport codes but since you've made me look it up (i.e. google it) I see it's a U.S. airforce base/community in Germany.
I'm mainly hoping for the 9xxx series driver so I can safely upgrade to xorg-7.1. So far I've heard mixed results about whether or not the 8xxx driver works with the newest xorg.

Mr Kinsey? It's nice to know you're still around and kicking.

For the many people with thisth mild yet annoying sthpeach problem, a name like 'Thiksthakthisth' is a horrible prank to play on them.

I don't know, but I'd stay away from Spain OnLine.

Ramstein
You left off a couple airports:
RMS: Ramstein, Germany
DRM: Drama, Greece

Not only those small timers, but I live in Washtenaw County as well. :-D
I take it you don't watch too many baseball games on TV. The scale makes it look like the pitcher could reach out and hold the ball over the plate.

Yes, but 'X' is so much cooler than 'E' that it's deemed the first important letter in 'exploration.'
