Just fgi. http://www.google.com/search?q=diy+projector: over 1 million hits for "DIY projector". So why should we be concerned about someone "releasing" its handbook into the free?? And even more, there are tons of free forums outthere concerning DIY projectors, no need to pay for it.
Looks like the dupe posting was just replaced by more ad-ish articles. *shakes head*
I have not read the complete material from the links you posted, but it looks like Feynman thought that bad trails could be distinguished by a fewer quantity of the scent as ants would leave on a successful trail. The article although seems to indicate that ants use a *different* marker to signal bad trails.
Virtual desktops are also known as workspaces, or whatever your desktop environment calls it. Just in case somebody wondered what the fsck I was writing about.
I just demand objectivity from the news articles themselves. Of course, the selection of the news articles posted here may well be biased, everyone trying to push his own agenda. But at least the articles should be mostly impartial, instead of pure opinions.

Group your running applications by tasks (i.e. browsing, email, development, etc.), and assign each of these tasks a virtual desktop (by remembering on which virtual desktop you grouped these applications). Then switching between different task domains becomes extremely fast, because you just have to click on the correct desktop in the virtual desktop app, and you have all apps you need to complete the task at hand instantly.
This is ways faster than switching between single applications or having them all on one single desktop, and having to dig your way through tons of windows to find the rigt program.
Oh, and use the session manager to save the session before you log-out, so the next time you log-in, you have all the apps you need already running, and on the same virtual desktops as before.
The mandatory netcraft post: the current web server survey does show a market share of 70.89% for Apache, 20.24% for Microsoft. Looking at the curve shows that MS market share has been stagnating since feb 2004 (after a rapid decline from their all time high of about 30% in feb 2002). Apache's market share is on a steady upwards trend.

Podcasting appears to be one of the more interesting developments in current culture and technology. It is one of the earliest nonbusiness representations of the value and power of XML (Extensible Markup Language).
One of the earliest?? Sorry, but what is this guy smoking??? There were a lot nonbusiness uses of XML long before Podcasts.
Which would mean that EVERY website should use encryption. Or how would you color slashdot? No privacy issues while just lurking, so yellow or red wouldn't be appropriate.
Why does Sony not simply provide an update for their rootkit? Improved security, expanded DRM, and distinguished keylogging, get it all now with Sony's rootkit 2.0. New and improved.
Look, I'm a GNU/Linux fanboy myself, but this is a market driven company.
We want it to catch on fast, so we need low prices -> use P2P to save bandwith expenditures
It should not bring the pricing of the other forms to get the content out of balance -> limit view time to have it compete with the rental market
Hmm, this all needs DRM? I see, Windows users are the most widespread -> forget the other OS's, the Windows market is enough to render it profitable
These companies are not charities, and they do whatever they think they can get away with and make enough profit. They don't care about a minority of the market.

But why the hell did that story get through to me?? *scratches head* Maybe the Internet is insecure. D'oh.
You may be interested in XUL then. Especially, in remote XUL.
Also, see Remote XUL Application Development with_Mozilla I and Remote XUL Application Development with Mozilla II.
You may even be able to create the UI XML files automatically from your interfaces, using a script, or introspection.
You can then send the data back to your host, using RPCs or a REST-like interface.
For the sake of free communication, I hope this stays like that in the UK then.
On a sidenote, there were some interesting papers published at this years Cyber Safety conference. Especially interesting in our context: Prepaid Mobile Phones: the Anonymity Question by Gordon Gow.
You have to show up in person and bring formal proof of your identity (like a passport or identification card).
Well, that's Europe.
But for how long will this be an option? Where I live, even pre-paid phones have to be registered, before they are activated!

Ok, let's have a look at his george-harrison.info website. Aha, maybe the links at the bottom of the page? Yes, I see: http://george-harrison.info/reciprocal-links.html.
Sooo, what may be on that page? Quoting:

People here complain about spam all the time, and then, when a known spammer uses /. to spread his stuff, we should suddenly look away?? Come on!!

Oh please please /. stop posting opinions as news. Especially when it comes to this topic. /. should be a news filter, not a metablog.
This is tiring, sooo tiring...

Always at your service
sincerely yours, Sony.
