There was a lady who brought her computer to the shop, and said her cd-rom drive wasn't working. I powered on the system, opened the drive, and found a CD inside. Indeed, the drive didn't work right when I checked it. So I shutdown the system, removed the drive, and it rattled. After taking it apart I found pieces of an HP drivers cd. After I took all the pieces out, the drive worked fine.
The interesting part is, not only did a CD explode in the drive, but the customer put in another CD...
When I told her what had happened she said something like: "Yeah I figured that's what happened."
Sounds like you are talking about a fluorescent light (or some variation), and not a typical light bulb as seen a lot of times in a house, or in desk lamps.
I'm running it on a 1.2GHz Athlon, 512MB RAM, and a GeForce 4 MX. It seems to run ok, but I haven't done anything really hardcore with it yet.
I haven't messed around with it much. Tried installing Apache, but Vista didn't like stuff that the install was trying to do, and denied access.
It actually seems pretty secure, generally speaking. I don't know about any holes and such, but just trying to rename a shortcut on my desktop, it asks for permission.
So I'll have to get back to you on this once I check it out more.:)
Wow... under 50 pages... Tom's Hardware, I'm impressed. No, really. I'm sure you could have added in another 10 pages somehow...
But really, people would probably stop reading your page, but they are too intrigued to see how many pages you've managed to bump up an article.
But uh... so I can stay on topic... Vista is still a beta... and apparently these Ubuntu people have a release of Linux that looks almost like it says "Diaper".
"A key feature of the Wii is its one-handed controller that looks like a television remote control and uses motion-detection sensors that allow players to control the game by wielding it like a sword, waving it like a conductor's baton, or swinging it like a baseball bat." Nintendo Wii"
Riiightt... I'm gonna wave me Wii stick around and play games... sounds like a fun time.
Just thought I would make that orignal statement, since my phone was mentioned. Not meaning to start a comparison between phone reception capabilities.:)
It's not too bad. I've found that places I don't get service, other people don't either. I would get service though were I used to live, when other people weren't.
People complain about certain things with my phone, and I seem to be doing alright with those particular issues.
...Xbox180. Turn around right back to the store until version 1.1 comes out.
As for Sony Playstation competition, well... do you really want it? I mean, connected to your home network and everything? CDs?
...after putting the disc in your player, it will instantly burst into flames, make all of your appliances cease to function, and sleep with your hot wife.
...when all they find is a bunch of Gold and Platinum AOL CDs...

Ah, I see.
That explains it all...

As many as it takes to screw in a light bulb.
Tastykake rocks. Those Peanut Butter ones I liked the best. Haven't found them around here though.

You know how to snipe, and play the market... truely a man of mystery. ;)

Wow dude. The scary thing about that is... it makes sense. ;)
That is funny stuff. If I had points, I'd mod it as such.
That was great.
Receipt paper is really nasty, I can vouch for that.

Good. I made it into the lowest catagory. Go Audiovox! I may not be able to cook with it, but at least my head will be safer...
No, just happens to be a name I've used for awhile on there. It's a joke. Ha ha...?
Looks like this antisocial person might be on it: http://www.livejournal.com/users/antisocial_shdw/2 73658.html
