Please, don't take this the wrong way, but I was talking about professional quality prints. Your reference to the c82 leads me to believe that you were not. Lets compare apples to apples. The updated Epson 2200 is called the "Epson Stylus Photo R2400".
and provides 13" wide using a maximum 5760 x 1440 optimized dpi. "The Xerox Phaser 6300/6500" provides up to 2400 dpi... and I don't even want to get into true color or archival. The laser printer is more expensive (by a few hundred dollars), prints far worse quality, and is for a completely different use (lots of prints at a fast rate vs photo / art). Now if you want to start talking about tabloid and higher print sizes, Xerox doesn't have anything that is even remotely comparable. There is a reason Epson is the industry (photography / art) standard for digital prints.
So as I was hinting to in my original post, both laser and inkjet have their places. To dismiss either is really just doing a disservice to yourself. I am sorry if I came off sounding condescending, but your post really juts blew my mind.
The current administration is always talking about how we must protect the American way of life. We must not let the terrorists threaten our freedom, which just happens to be something they hate us for! Well if the US starts a space weapons race, the very thread of American existence will be in harm's way. Without satellites we will lose countless television channels. This is simply unacceptable!
I am seeing alot of comments on how inkjet printers "suck", and that laser is the way to go. Well I am sorry, this is not always the case. Sometimes people need quality, and by quality I mean something a laser printer are incapable of providing. I have yet to see a laser printer that can provide the quality of say... even an Epson stylus 2200. I mean sure, if all you're doing is printing 72 dpi webpages, by all means get a cheap laser printer. But don't snuff off inkjet because you're not taking advantage of it's true worth: print quality. Now as far as inkjet printers go, I am a huge fan of the 4000 7600 9600 stylus lines (they have recently upgraded these using another tone of gray, but I haven't used them yet). Throw in a good RIP, like Colorbyte's Imageprint and you have some absolutely stunning prints. Now of course these printers are... considerably more expensive than what most folks are willing to spend on a printer, but they are out there and they print beautifully. So ya, high end? Epson definitely.
Really? I believe the exact opposite is what really happens. I mean after all it is called a "manufacture's rebate". I mean you can go to Circuit City or Best Buy, same offer. I highly doubt companies are taking a loss on the books due to consumers taking advantage of a sale. Please note this is just assumptions, opinions, etcetera on my part. I really do not know what the hell goes on in the minds / check books of these companies. All I know is that I see an item on sale, an item that is on sale only through rebates, and I sometimes buy it. Sometimes I just don't follow through on the five dollar mail in rebate. I am lazy I guess, I don't know. I do know I bought the item due to the listed price (which was decreased by said rebate) and sometimes I just have a bad taste in my mouth because I absolutely hate jumping through hoops. There is a reason I became well educated (I guess that depends on who you ask), I hate bullshit. It almost seems like half the con jobs revolve around these "rebates". Maybe it's Karma, I don't know. Take it for what you will.
I don't condone stealing, but seriously it goes both ways. Consumers get constantly burned by mail in rebates.

True, but Shin Megami Tensei came out before Magic the Gathering. Magic the Gathering came out in 1993, while Shin Megami Tensei came out in 1992. A year is cutting it close, but what ever. One could easily say that while Pokemon did not inspire Magic the Gathering, Shin Megami Tensei did. I got the dates from the wiki, so take it for what you will.
You know, if Nintendo comes out of the gate with games that are significantly cheaper (at least 10 dollars) than the Xbox's 60 price tag... I can't see many parents justifying the additional cost. Hell, I can't see myself logically justifying the additional cost.
I find it utterly fascinating that the same people that flock to see "The Passion of the Christ" will picket a videogame. I mean we are talking about an extremely violent movie, a movie that people have died watching. Bring children to an excessively violent religious themed movie? No problem. Rockstar video games? Burn them at the stake. I am sincerely stunned at the hypocritical justifications folks make. If parents feel that certain tones of violence are OK due to religious themes, thats fine, thats great. Perhaps other parents deem unrealistic pixels to be more suitable forms of visual stimuli than live action massacres. Just a thought.
Whats wrong with Newegg? I have always found that they have competitive prices, and have always taken care of any problems I have had. Any insight is welcome.
Disclaimer: I have no problem with religion, just the lack of seperation between "Church and State".
I am sorry but this is just complete, utter, bullshit. There are many reasons why our school system's are in such turmoil, and a major one is the complete lunacy that is dictating what is taught to our children. Theology has no place in the institute of public education. Religion has a proper place, and here is a hint: the privacy of your own home and/or place of worship.
I have a friend that is from Wisconsin, she believes in creationism, which is in part due to her upbringing. I was shocked to hear what was coming out of her mouth when she described how evolution is "fake". She isn't in any variant of the scientific field, but what if she could have been? What if she initially had the mind to, but it was striped away while she was at such an impressionable age? It's shit like this that poisons young minds and prevents them from aspiring what could be their true potential. I guess science is only cool when it's used to kill people.
Right... but the initial ban was on a website that was revolving around the plight of union workers. What if instead of some poor cancer website, it'd been terrorists? Or the National Child Pornographer's association? Terrorists? National Child Pornographer's Association? Talk about red herrings.
Telus is a company that holds itself out to the public. They had no right to block information that was discerning to their own viewpoints (something we agree on). So if they didn't have a right to block the union website, how does "some poor cancer website" constitute as just collateral damage? This is not war, this is a company stepping over the boundaries of its regulatory regime. Maybe I just see it differently than you.
I think it's interesting that the theme of eating was used to lure the female sex into arcades. I think its kind of like how Konami used http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DDR_1st_Mix">Dance Dance Revolution to lure the female persuasion back into the arcades using game's namesake.
Well apparently you
can use a DexDrive on your Mac. I don't think that Sony executives thought that using a relatively unknown peripheral would be a suitable substitute. I do think some Slashdot reader's may find the original link I supplied to be of use.
It is interesting to see the lack of mmorpg's. I personally loved early Ultima Online. I was glad to see the two Ultima titles that were chosen, although it was a bit odd to see the neglect of both Wizardry and Might and Magic. Still, a surprising good list for IGN.
That kind of came out of left field...
Right, but I think our captain has chosen another option. This option is to continue on course as if nothing is wrong. Talk is talk, action is action.

Fear. Fear. (maybe F34r?).
They forgot both Broadband Investment Group Corporation (BIG) and the Intira Corproation. =( Some info here.
Maybe this will push PTC into putting pro-e out on the Mac.

Beat the game get the watch?

Eternal Darkness.
Hmm... confirmed via a "reliable source". I guess that automatically makes this fact!

The article mentioned that the DexDrive would be a possible solution to transfer game files. It's the first thing that came to my mind as well.
